After a busy Monday night in the association, there are only 4 games on the schedule tonight. We had more value than we knew what to do with last night, so I’m excited for a slate where you have to make some difficult lineup decisions. When there are 15 elite value plays, decision fatigue is a real thing, especially if you only build one or two lineups per slate.

I don’t have any interesting anecdotes today, so let’s dive into the team breakdowns.

Team Previews

Indiana Pacers (at NYK)

We kick off tonight’s 4-game slate with the Pacers, who are in full tank mode after the trade deadline. They currently have the 2nd-worst record in the NBA. Tonight, they square off against the Knicks, who are 25th in pace and 6th in points allowed per game. The Pacers are 12-point underdogs and have a team total that is 5 points lower than their season average. Obi Toppin is out, while Quenton Jackson, Micah Potter, Aaron Nesmith, and T.J. McConnell are questionable.

Moving forward, I’m going to have a difficult time trusting the veterans on the Pacers. With the tank on, do we really want to trust Pascal Siakam? Andrew Nembhard offers a little more fantasy appeal, but this is a brutal matchup and a potential blowout. I will note that we could have a lot of minutes open up in the backcourt with Nesmith, Jackson, and McConnell questionable. We could also have minutes open in the frontcourt with Potter questionable. Let’s take a wait-and-see approach for now.

New York Knicks (vs. IND)

The Knicks are 2nd in the Eastern Conference standings and draw the best matchup on the slate, as the Pacers are 9th in pace, 30th in rebounding rate, and 25th in points allowed per game. New York’s team total is slightly higher than their season average. Mitchell Robinson and Miles McBride are out, while OG Anunoby is questionable.

Jalen Brunson offers a high floor and is priced under $9,000 on both sites, which hasn’t been the case often this season. He’s a strong cash game play against the Pacers. Jose Alvarado logged 25 minutes the other night against the Celtics and is only $3,500 on DraftKings. He’s a decent punt in large-field tournaments. Karl-Anthony Towns is facing the worst rebounding team in the league and should benefit with Robinson out. He’s my favorite target from the Knicks. If Anunoby is out, Mikal Bridges and Josh Hart will become interesting midrange targets.
