Kyrie Irving didn’t play well at all to begin the series, scoring 12 points in Game 1 and 16 points in Game 2. However, he bounced back well in Game 3 and Game 4, scoring 35 points and then 21 points to help bring the series back to Boston for Game 5.
Notably, Irving was seen walking off of the TD Garden floor after Game 2 telling fans that he would see them for Game 5, a promise that almost didn’t come true. One thing is for certain: The Mavericks desperately need a motivated and effective version of Irving this evening.
Playing in hostile territory hasn’t been an issue for Irving during his career. Expect him to show up in a big way tonight with his team’s season on the line.
