NBA Player Props Today – Friday, February 23, 2024
- Giannis Antetokounmpo Over/Under 11.5 Rebounds
- Vince Williams Over/Under 12.5 Points
- Bam Adebayo Over/Under 20.5 Points
Giannis Antetokounmpo Over/Under 11.5 Rebounds
Entering play on Friday, Giannis is averaging 11.2 rebounds per game this season, but his production in this department has fallen off considerably in February. In his last 8 games, Giannis is averaging only 9.1 rebounds on 13.5 rebound chances, a stark difference compared to his 11.6 rebounds and 17.9 rebound chances per game from Opening Night through the end of January. The Timberwolves have been a strong rebounding team of late as well, ranking 10th in rebound percentage and 4th in opponent rebounds per game this month. The under is a strong look in this spot.
- PICK: Antetokounmpo UNDER 11.5 Rebounds (-140), DraftKings
Vince Williams Over/Under 12.5 Points
Since January 12th, with Memphis missing multiple starters from their optimal backcourt lineup, Williams is averaging 15.6 points on 10.4 field goal attempts per game. In his last 17 games, he has scored at least 10 points 16 times, at least 11 points 15 times, at least 12 points 14 times, and at least 13 points 12 times. Suffice it to say, he has been consistently competitive at this market number each time he has taken the floor during the last month of action.
The Clippers are a legitimate title contender, but they have been far less stout defensively on the road than at home, ranking 24th in defensive rating in their last 5 road games and 15th in defensive rating on the road since January 1st. They have also been victim to some elite guard play recently, allowing 41 points to Stephen Curry and 31 points to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in the last 10 days alone.
Williams is unlikely to score 30+ points, but 13 points is a very reasonable ask from the betting community. He should be able to get the job done in a reasonably competitive game.
- PICK: Vince Williams OVER 12.5 Points (-130), DraftKings
Bam Adebayo Over/Under 20.5 Points
After taking time away from the team to attend to personal matters, Jimmy Butler will return to the floor this evening against the Pelicans, which means a likely reduction in scoring for Adebayo. In 13 games from January 15th to February 7th with Butler active, Adebayo averaged only 16 points on 13.2 shot attempts per game. Adebayo has the added difficulty tonight of facing a New Orleans defense that has been strong defending around the rim in February, allowing the 2nd-fewest field goal attempts per game in the paint and the 9th-lowest success rate on such attempts. The under appears to have value here.
- PICK: Adebayo UNDER 20.5 Points (-120), bet365
