The NBA has a star-studded 8-game slate on tap to begin the weekend, with players like Cade Cunningham, Devin Booker, Donovan Mitchell, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and Giannis Antetokounmpo all scheduled to be in action.

Of course, there are still some big names on tonight’s NBA injury report. Jalen Williams, Ja Morant, and Darius Garland have already been ruled out for Friday’s action.

As always, be sure to use tools like CourtIQ and our NBA starting lineups page to evaluate how injuries impact usage and to search for inefficiencies in the player prop and DFS markets.

Payton Pritchard OVER 18.5 Points (-104, FanDuel)

According to CourtIQ, Pritchard has averaged 19.2 points per 30 minutes this season with Derrick White off of the floor. In the lone game with White inactive, Pritchard scored 42 points on 22 shot attempts against the Cavaliers back in November.

Pritchard has played 33+ minutes in 3 of his last 4 games, even with White available. If he sees north of 30 minutes tonight, he should have a great chance to clear 20 points against a Brooklyn team that ranks 29th in defensive rating in January.

Donovan Mitchell OVER 28.5 Points (-120, BetMGM)

Mitchell has gone under this number in 3 consecutive games, but part of his recent struggles can simply be attributed to a shooting slump – 33.3% from the field, including 29.2% from beyond the arc.

Tonight, he returns home to face the defensively-challenged Kings. This season, the Kings rank dead last in defensive rating on the road.

This is a great buy-low opportunity on Mitchell, who is still averaging 28.9 points per game this season, despite his recent struggles.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander OVER 32.5 Points (-114, FanDuel)

Add this pick with 1 click!PLACE THIS BET ONFANDUEL

According to CourtIQ, Gilgeous-Alexander has averaged 35.8 points per 36 minutes this season with Jalen Williams off of the floor. That number increases to 36.8 points with both Williams and Ajay Mitchell off of the floor. Remove Isaiah Hartenstein too? That number goes all the way to 41.8 points.

It’s also worth noting that Chet Holmgren looked a little bit banged up against Milwaukee in the team’s last game. If he’s limited at all on the offensive end of the floor, Gilgeous-Alexander only stands to assume more of the team’s offensive burden in a favorable matchup against an Indiana defense that has struggled to defend without fouling in January.
