NBA Player Props Today – Friday, November 1, 2024

Jalen Duren UNDER 11.5 Points (-110, DraftKings)

Duren has had difficulty with foul trouble early this season, which has hurt his overall numbers. He had 5 fouls on October 25th against Cleveland, a game in which he had only 5 points and 7 rebounds in 29 minutes. Duren somehow committed 6 fouls in only 11 minutes two nights ago against Philadelphia, a game in which he didn’t score a single point. He is also not seeing a lot of volume from the floor early in the season, with only 4.2 field goal attempts per game. If he experiences any regression from his unsustainable 85.7% field goal percentage, the under could be sweat-free.

Jayson Tatum UNDER 28.5 Points (-110, BetMGM)

The Celtics have a tendency to let their role players have a bigger influence in games against inferior competition, leaving players like Tatum with slightly less usage, at times, in these situations. Last season, Tatum scored 29+ points in only 18 of Boston’s 46 double-digit wins. Tonight, the Celtics are favored by 10.5 points against the Hornets, a team that faces an uphill battle to make the postseason. Tatum is one of the game’s premier players, so there is always a risk of him having a big scoring night, but the larger trends favor the under.

Evan Mobley OVER 25.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-130, BetMGM)

In 5 games to begin the new campaign, Mobley hasn’t posted fewer than 25 PRA. New head coach Kenny Atkinson has given Mobley a much more significant role in the team’s offense compared to last season, which has allowed Mobley to post more counting stats on a regular basis. Despite averaging a career low in minutes, due mostly to blowout game scripts, Mobley is averaging a career-high 13.4 field goal attempts and 19.2 points per game. Mobley has taken at least 12 shot attempts in each of his first 5 games, has 12+ rebound chances in all but 1 game, and has 5+ potential assists in all but 1 game. The market is still undervaluing him.
