Friday’s NBA slate features 12 games, beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET with a matchup between the Bucks and Raptors.

Per usual, the NBA injury report is quite extensive to begin the weekend. Notable players such as Karl-Anthony Towns, Ja Morant, and LeBron James are listed as questionable or have already been ruled out. Be sure to keep an eye on the status of key players ahead of tip-off, as last-minute changes to availability can open up significant opportunities on the player prop market.

Best NBA Player Props for Friday, October 24th

Here are my top player prop bets for today, with tip-off scheduled for 6:30 PM ET on Friday, October 24th:

Dylan Harper OVER 17.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-105, BetMGM)

Our ScoresAndOdds premium model likes this play a lot, and for seemingly good reason. Harper came off of the bench on opening night for the Spurs, but he still played 23 minutes and took 14 shot attempts. He was also involved in other areas, with 5 rebound chances and 7 potential assists.

Assuming 20+ minutes for Harper again on Friday, he’s likely to have plenty of opportunities to accrue counting statistics with De’Aaron Fox out of the lineup.

Shaedon Sharpe OVER 4.5 Rebounds (-101, DraftKings)

Sharpe averaged 4.5 rebounds per game last season for the Trail Blazers last season, but he only had 2 boards on opening night against the Timberwolves. The underlying metrics still suggest he was in position to potentially have a better night, however, with 9 rebound chances, according to NBA tracking numbers.

Last night, the Warriors went to overtime against the Nuggets, which led to all 5 of the team’s starters playing 34+ minutes. On the second night of a back-to-back set, it wouldn’t be surprising to see HC Steve Kerr give more minutes to his role players, especially considering the age of some of Golden State’s stars. If that’s the case, there could be a few extra rebounds up for grabs this evening. This could be a good buy-low spot for Sharpe.

Deni Avdija OVER 28.5 Points + Rebounds (-113, DraftKings)

Avdija scored 20 points in Portland’s season opener despite shooting an inefficient 6 for 16 from the floor, including 0 for 6 from beyond the arc. Still, it’s difficult not to come away optimistic about his long-term scoring potential. He was 2nd on the team in shot attempts and led the Trail Blazers in free-throw attempts.

Notably, he also did this against a Minnesota defense that was a top-10 unit a season ago. Tonight, he gets to face a Golden State defense that is on a second night of a back-to-back set. It wouldn’t be surprising to see him turn in a slightly more efficient outing.

Avdija is also a threat for double-digit rebounds on any given night. He was 2nd on the team with 13 rebound chances on Wednesday and should have opportunities to contribute in that area again on Friday.
