Best NBA Player Props for Monday, December 15th
Here are my top player prop bets for today, with tip-off scheduled for 7:00 PM ET on Monday, December 15th:
- Anfernee Simons Over/Under 12.5 Points
- Cooper Flagg Over/Under 5.5 Rebounds
- Kawhi Leonard Over/Under 25.5 Points
Anfernee Simons OVER 12.5 Points (-115, BetMGM)
If looking for a speculative play for tonight, look no further than Simons. This season, he’s averaging 16.3 points per 26 minutes without Payton Pritchard on the floor, according to CourtIQ. Pritchard is officially listed as questionable as of this writing and could play, but if he doesn’t, there is clear value on the over here.
Even if Pritchard is active, Simons has been routinely seeing north of 20 minutes in recent weeks, with good volume from the floor. This is a play that could cash even if Pritchard ends up being active.
Cooper Flagg OVER 5.5 Rebounds (-144, FanDuel)
According to CourtIQ, Flagg is averaging 6.8 rebounds per 36 minutes this season with D’Angelo Russell off of the floor. In the 5 games with Russell inactive, Flagg has 7+ rebounds in 4 of those games and no games with fewer than 5 boards.
Even more important from a betting perspective, Flagg has posted 9+ rebound chances in all 5 of those games, including 11+ rebound chances in 4 of those games. He should once again have plenty of opportunities on the glass.
Kawhi Leonard UNDER 25.5 Points (-110, DraftKings)
This season, Leonard has gone over this number in only 7 of 15 games in which James Harden has been active. In the last 4 games that Harden has been active, Leonard hasn’t scored more than 24 points.
Harden is officially listed as questionable with a calf injury, but he seems to have a genuine chance to suit up. Even if Harden doesn’t play, this isn’t the most optimal matchup for Leonard. Memphis isn’t viewed as an elite defensive team, but they rank a respectable 11th in defensive rating across their last 8 games, and they have played at roughly a league-average pace. Leonard would need to be efficient shooting the basketball to flirt with 30 points.
