NBA Player Props Today – Monday, January 1, 2024

Cade Cunningham Over/Under 7.5 Assists

Cade Cunningham has stark home-and-away splits as a facilitator this season, averaging 7.9 assists per game at home, compared to 6.6 assists per game on the road. These splits have held strong during the last 30 days, with Cunningham averaging 8.9 assists and 14.7 potential assists across his last 7 home games, while averaging 6.0 assists and 9.0 potential assists in his last 6 road contests.

Tonight, he has a tough matchup against a Rockets team that ranks 4th in defensive rating and has allowed the 3rd-fewest opponent assists per game since December 2. The math favors the under in this spot.

Damian Lillard Over/Under 25.5 Points

Entering play on Monday, Damian Lillard is averaging 25.9 points per game this season, but he has been slightly better on his home floor, where he is averaging 26.8 points per contest. In 18 home games, Lillard has 14 games with at least 24 points, 12 games with at least 25 points, and 10 games with at least 26 points – indicating that he is consistently competitive at this market number.

This evening, Lillard gets a favorable matchup against the Pacers, which rank 25th in defensive efficiency, 4th in pace, 20th in opponent 3-point percentage, and 28th in opponent free throw attempts allowed per game this year. Lillard should have every opportunity to deliver for us here.

Nikola Jokic Over/Under 48.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

Throughout his career, Nikola Jokic has always had stark home-and-away splits, and this season has been no different. Playing at home, Jokic is averaging 27.6 points, 12.5 rebounds, and 9.3 assists on 58.1% shooting from the floor, compared to 24.7 points, 12.1 rebounds, and 9.0 assists on 53.2% shooting from the floor on the road.

On Monday, he gets a favorable matchup against the Hornets, which rank 29th in defensive efficiency, 29th in rebound percentage, 28th in opponent assists allowed per game, and 22nd in opponent free throws allowed per game during the last month. Charlotte has also been extremely vulnerable around the rim, allowing the 2nd-most field goal attempts per game in the restricted area and ranking 20th in opponent field goal percentage on such shots.

Jokic has eclipsed this market number in 10 of 16 home games this season and in both home games when he has had two days of rest leading up to tip-off. The over is a worthwhile risk tonight.
