NBA Player Props Today – Monday, March 18, 2024

Kristaps Porzingis Over/Under 20.5 Points

Neither Jrue Holiday or Al Horford will suit up for the Celtics this evening, but that still doesn’t justify this market number being so high for Porzingis. This season, Porzingis has only scored 20+ points in 2 of 8 games with Horford inactive and only 2 of 4 games with Holiday inactive. The Pistons have done a reasonably good job defending opposing centers of late, allowing more than 20 points only once to the position in March. The under is a worthwhile risk.

Jaylen Brown Over/Under 26.5 Points

Holiday and Horford have already been ruled out, as noted above, but that still doesn’t justify a market number this high for Brown. In 6 games without Holiday this season, Brown has only 1 game with 25+ points. In 9 games without Horford, Brown has scored more than 25 points only 3 times. The Pistons have been a dream matchup for opposing guards of late, but there is a real risk of a blowout here, which further sours the outlook for Brown. The math favors the under.

Bam Adebayo Over/Under 19.5 Points

Since the All-Star Break, the 76ers have been one of the best teams in the NBA defending the paint, allowing the 3rd-fewest shot attempts from that area of the floor and the 5th-lowest success rate on such attempts. Across the last 30 days, Adebayo is averaging 14.5 field goal attempts per game, over half of which are coming from the paint. The last opposing center to score more than 19 points against the 76ers was Kristaps Porzingis on February 27th. Adebayo could be in for a tough night on the offensive end of the floor, in what is an underrated difficult matchup.
