NBA Player Props Today – Monday, October 28, 2024
- Evan Mobley Over/Under 13.5 Points
- Zach LaVine Over/Under 20.5 Points
- Alex Sarr Over/Under 5.5 Rebounds
Evan Mobley OVER 13.5 Points (-135, BetMGM)
One of the key objectives for the Cavaliers in finding a new head coach this past summer was selecting someone who could help Mobley take the next step in his offensive development. Through 3 games, it’s obvious that the coaching staff and the organization are fully aligned in their support of Mobley’s offensive game. Despite playing reduced minutes during the first week of the season due to a couple of blowouts, Mobley is averaging a career-high in field goal attempts and points per game. He has a tough matchup tonight against a good Knicks defense, but he’s simply had too much volume on a nightly basis for us to sit on the sidelines here.
Zach LaVine OVER 20.5 Points (-112, Bally)
LaVine hasn’t been fully healthy in a while, but he certainly seems to be close to 100% to begin the new campaign. Through 3 games, he’s averaging a team-high 24.7 points, which is his highest scoring average in two years. His efficiency has also been excellent, shooting 55.6% from the field and 47.8% from long range. He’s the clear top option in an offense that lacks other reliable, efficient scorers. The Grizzlies rank only 19th in defensive rating this season but are 2nd in pace, so this isn’t as tough of a matchup for LaVine as it might appear on the surface.
Alex Sarr OVER 5.5 Rebounds (-118, FanDuel)
Sarr has looked pretty good in a limited role to begin his NBA career. This past summer’s No. 2 overall draft pick has posted 5 rebounds and 6 rebounds in his first 2 career games. Notably, he had 14 rebound chances in his most recent game against the Cavaliers, which bodes well for a potential increase in actual rebounds in the near future if he continues to see those kinds of opportunities. This is a good matchup for Sarr, facing an Atlanta team that is on the second night of a back-to-back and playing their 3rd game in 4 nights.
