NBA Player Props Today – Thursday, December 28, 2023

Jrue Holiday Over/Under 21.5 Points + Rebounds

According to RotoGrinders CourtIQ, Jrue Holiday is averaging 18.9 points and 7.0 rebounds per 36 minutes this season with Jaylen Brown off of the court. In the one game that Holiday played with Brown not in uniform earlier this year, he had 18 points and 10 rebounds in 35 minutes against the 76ers. Tonight, Holiday gets a favorable matchup against a Pistons team that ranks 25th in defensive efficiency and 28th in rebound percentage during the last month. Holiday should be able to get the job done for us in this spot.

DeMar DeRozan Over/Under 27.5 Points

According to RotoGrinders CourtIQ, DeMar DeRozan is averaging 26.2 points per 36 minutes this season with both Nikola Vucevic and Zach LaVine off of the floor. On Tuesday, he had 25 points against the Hawks, despite only taking 17 shot attempts. Tonight, he gets a favorable matchup against a Pacers team that ranks 29th in defensive rating and 4th in pace during the last month. The Pacers have also struggled mightily to defend the mid-range area of the floor, ranking 23rd in opponent field goal percentage on such shots since November 29. DeRozan is averaging 17.0 field goal attempts per game this year, 7.4 of which are coming in the mid-range. He should have no trouble getting open looks this evening.

C.J. McCollum Over/Under 2.5 Three-Pointers Made

Entering play on Thursday, the Jazz rank 18th in defensive rating, 30th in opponent 3-point attempts allowed per game, and 24th in opponent 3-point percentage across the last month of action. CJ McCollum, the Pelicans’ team leader in 3-point attempts per game, is likely to be a major beneficiary of the Jazz’ weak perimeter defense tonight. McCollum has made at least three shots from beyond the arc 6 of 8 games since December 11, with his two misses being games in which he made a pair of threes, but shot below 30 percent from deep. McCollum is likely to have a strong shooting performance in this matchup against an inferior opponent, making this a worthwhile risk.
