NBA Player Props Today – Thursday, February 15, 2024
- Vince Williams Over/Under 12.5 Points
- Jaren Jackson Over/Under 25.5 Points + Assists
- Giannis Antetokounmpo Over/Under 6.5 Assists
Vince Williams Over/Under 12.5 Points
None of Ja Morant, Marcus Smart, nor Desmond Bane have played for the Grizzlies since January 12, which has allowed Vince Williams to shine in an expanded role. Across his last 15 games, Williams is averaging 16.1 points. His 10.6 field goal attempts per game in that stretch put him firmly in the conversation as the team’s 2nd-option on the offensive end of the floor, behind Jaren Jackson.
Tonight, Williams gets to face a Bucks defense that has been vulnerable to opposing guards of late, allowing 23 points to Duncan Robinson as recently as earlier in the week. Luka Doncic scored 40 points against Milwaukee on February 3 as another recent example. Williams should see at least 10 field goal attempts once again on Thursday, which should give him enough volume to get the job done for us.
- PICK: Williams OVER 12.5 Points (-105), BetMGM
Jaren Jackson Over/Under 25.5 Points + Assists
The player who has benefited the most from a usage perspective since Memphis lost Ja Morant, Marcus Smart, and Desmond Bane to injury is Jaren Jackson. In 14 games since any of the aforementioned trio last played for the Grizzlies, Jackson is averaging a team-high 20.6 field goal attempts, which is nearly double that of any other teammate on the roster.
In those 14 games, Jackson has compiled at least 26 points + assists 9 times, with a pair of near-misses at 24 points + assists against the Kings and 25 points + assists against the Pelicans. Simply, he has been competitive at this market number nearly every time he has taken the floor during the last month. The Bucks, on the surface, present a difficult matchup for Jackson, but they have been vulnerable against power forwards of late – allowing 28 points to Kevin Durant and 19 points to Kevin Love as two recent examples. Jackson should have every opportunity to collect enough counting stats to deliver here.
- PICK: Jackson OVER 25.5 Points + Assists (-115), Bet365
Giannis Antetokounmpo Over/Under 6.5 Assists
Giannis Antetokounmpo is averaging 7.4 assists and 13.9 potential assists during February, but those numbers are skewed by a pair of double-digit assist games against the Mavericks and Jazz. Antetokounmpo had 14 potential assists against the Mavericks and 22 potential assists against the Jazz but has averaged only 5.8 assists and 12.2 potential assists in 5 games since that point.
According to RotoGrinders CourtIQ, Antetokounmpo is averaging only 6.6 assists per 36 minutes this season without Khris Middleton on the floor. Tonight, Antetokounmpo has a somewhat difficult matchup against a Grizzlies defense that has allowed the 10th-fewest assists per game of any team in the league this month. Notably, they held Draymond Green to 6 assists on 9 potential assists on February 2. The under has value here at plus money.
- PICK: Antetokounmpo UNDER 6.5 Assists (+114), DraftKings
