NBA Player Props Today – Thursday, January 4, 2024

Jonathan Kuminga Over/Under 4.5 Rebounds

Since Draymond Green last played on December 12, Kuminga is averaging 5.5 rebounds and 9.5 rebound chances per game. During that stretch, Kuminga has 10 consecutive games with at least 4 rebounds and 7 games with at least 5 rebounds.

Though the Nuggets are the defending NBA champions, they have been beatable on the glass during the last 30 days, ranking 14th in rebound percentage and 21st in opponent rebounds per game. Since December 20th, Precious Achiuwa, Chris Boucher, Pascal Siakam, Royce O’Neale, PJ Washington (twice), Kuminga, Dario Saric, and Jaylin Williams have each grabbed at least 5 rebounds from the power forward position against the Nuggets. This is a must-bet at over/under 4.5 rebounds until Kuminga gives a reason to stop trusting him.

Stephen Curry Over/Under 28.5 Points

If there is one team that Curry certainly does not look forward to facing on the schedule, it is the Nuggets. In their last 5 regular season meetings, Curry has been held to 28 points or fewer four times and 23 points or fewer three times. The Nuggets have length and athleticism on the perimeter, which makes it difficult for Curry to get many open looks at the basket.

During the last 30 days, Denver ranks 7th in opponent 3-point attempts allowed per game and 7th in opponent 3-point percentage. This is an extremely tough matchup for Curry, who is only averaging 27.6 points per game this season. The under makes sense in this spot.

Nikola Jokic Over/Under 38.5 Points + Rebounds

Jokic had one of his least effortful shooting performances of the season Monday against the Hornets, attempting only 7 shots in 28 minutes of action. Though it can be tough to go back to a player who has recently burned us, this is a great matchup for Jokic against the Warriors, and he should be plenty rested on Thursday evening.

In his last four regular season meetings against Golden State, Jokic has scored 26+ points three times and never had fewer than 12 rebounds. Since Draymond Green last played, the Warriors rank 29th in opponent field goal attempts per game in the paint and 30th in opponent field goal percentage on such attempts. Factor in that Jokic will be the tallest player on the floor by a couple of inches, and it becomes easy to see a path to a dominant showing for the Joker here.
