Tonight, the Indiana Pacers and Boston Celtics will play Game 2 of this year’s Eastern Conference Finals at TD Garden. Tip off is set for 8:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.

The Pacers nearly stole the series opener, but some last-second heroics from the Celtics plus a strong effort in overtime allowed the home favorites to escape with a win. This evening should once again produce some entertaining basketball.

NBA Player Props Today – Thursday, May 23, 2024

Jayson Tatum Over/Under 10.5 Rebounds
Derrick White Over/Under 16.5 Points
Jaylen Brown Over/Under 25.5 Points

Jayson Tatum Over/Under 10.5 Rebounds

Jayson Tatum had 12 rebounds in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals, but he played a postseason-high 46 minutes and still only had 15 rebound chances in that contest. Simply, 15 rebound chances is not enough opportunity for Tatum to consistently tally double-digit rebounds.

During the previous round, Tatum averaged 10.4 rebounds on 16.4 rebound chances in 5 games against the Cavaliers. Assuming we see Tatum play slightly fewer minutes this evening, it’s difficult to see him have another dozen rebounds.

Derrick White Over/Under 16.5 Points

Derrick White isn’t an elite basketball player, but he’s plenty productive in his role for the Celtics. After averaging 22.4 points per game in the opening round against Miami, White regressed to 14.0 points per game in Round 2 against Cleveland, but he was an inefficient 38.1% from the floor in those 5 games.

On Tuesday, White once again had plenty of shot attempts (13), but shot only 38.5% from the floor, including 0-for-5 from 3-point territory. If he experiences any positive regression in terms of efficiency, he will have a great chance to hit the over here.

Jaylen Brown Over/Under 25.5 Points

Jaylen Brown scored 26 points in Game 1 against the Pacers, and it felt like he still left some food on the table. He was by no means bad, but 5-for-8 from the foul line and 1-for-4 from 3-point territory both leave some room for even more scoring if he can be more efficient with his chances.

Brown profiles extremely well in this matchup and should continue to see a significant number of shot attempts. This season, Brown has scored 26+ points in 3 of 4 home games in which he’s played at least 40 minutes and 4 of 6 home games in which he’s played at least 37 minutes.

If we get another competitive game script, Brown should have every opportunity to get the job done in this spot.
