The Emirates NBA Cup Quarterfinals begin tonight, with a pair of Eastern Conference matchups on tap. The Heat will battle the Magic at 6:00 PM ET, followed by the Knicks against the Raptors. Both games will be broadcast on Prime Video.
Despite a small 2-game slate, there are still some big names on the NBA injury report ahead of tip-off. Franz Wagner will miss his first game of the season for the Magic. Karl-Anthony Towns and Immanuel Quickley are questionable as of this writing too.
As always, keep an eye on the status of key players as we get closer to game time, and be sure to use tools like CourtIQ and our NBA starting lineups page to search for inefficiencies in the player prop and DFS markets.

Best NBA Player Props for Tuesday, December 9th
Here are my top player prop bets for today, with tip-off scheduled for 6:00 PM ET on Tuesday, December 9th:
- Jalen Suggs Over/Under 3.5 Reboundss
- Mikal Bridges Over/Under 3.5 Rebounds
- Brandon Ingram Over/Under 4.5 Assists
Jalen Suggs OVER 3.5 Rebounds (-125, bet365)
Tonight will be the first time this season that Orlando won’t have Franz Wagner available. Last season, Suggs averaged 6 rebounds per 36 minutes with Wagner off of the floor and cleared this number in 8 of 10 games that Wagner didn’t play.
According to CourtIQ, Suggs has continued crashing the glass effectively without Wagner on the floor this season, averaging 5.4 rebounds per 36 minutes in such situations.
Miami has allowed the 8th-most rebounds per game to guards this season. In a plus matchup, Suggs should have plenty of opportunities to grab at least 4 rebounds – something he’s done in 6 of 11 games this season in which he’s played 24+ minutes.
Mikal Bridges OVER 3.5 Rebounds (-135, bet365)
This season, Bridges has played 3 games with Miles McBride inactive – collecting 5, 11, and 7 rebounds in those games. Even more important from a betting perspective, Bridges has managed at least 8 rebound chances in each of those games.
Per CourtIQ, Bridges is averaging 5.5 rebounds per 36 minutes this season with McBride off of the floor. Toronto has allowed the 9th-most rebounds per game to forwards during their last 8 games and the 5th-most rebounds per game to forwards this season.
Brandon Ingram UNDER 4.5 Assists (-150, bet365)
Ingram has cleared this number in only 1 of 8 games with RJ Barrett unavailable this season. According to CourtIQ, he’s averaging only 3.5 assists per 36 minutes with Barrett off of the floor.
Tonight, Ingram will face a Knicks defense that has permitted the 2nd-fewest assists per game to forwards during their last 8 games. There is some risk that Immanuel Quickley (illness) could be ruled out, which would change the calculus here. However, if expecting Quickley to be available, the data supports the under at this number.
