NBA Player Props Today – Tuesday, November 19, 2024

Anthony Davis OVER 28.5 Points (-118, FanDuel)

If we learned anything last season, it’s that the Lakers take the NBA Cup very seriously. Anthony Davis put together a strong showing in his team’s In-Season Tournament debut this year, posting 40 points in 36 minutes against the Spurs. Tonight, he gets a dream matchup against Utah – a team that ranks 29th in defensive rating this season. The Jazz have been one of the league’s worst defenses defending around the rim this year as well. Davis should be able to score at will this evening.

LaMelo Ball OVER 27.5 Points (-105, BetMGM)

LaMelo Ball enters play on Tuesday averaging 29.7 points per game this season. He’s been even better if we cut the data to November only, where he is averaging 30.2 points per game. Perhaps most notable from a betting perspective is that Ball hasn’t been particularly efficient during that stretch, shooting only 43.3% from the field, including 34.7% from 3-point territory. Tonight, he gets to face a Brooklyn team that ranks 26th in defensive rating this season. If Ball has any positive regression in terms of efficiency, he could go over this number with ease.

Donovan Mitchell UNDER 27.5 Points (-118, FanDuel)

Part of the reason that Cleveland is an NBA-best 15-0 to begin the new campaign is because they have been able to rely on a number of different players to put the ball in the basket. Of course, more contributors in the team’s offense also means that the stars will eat slightly less. Donovan Mitchell is averaging only 24.6 points per game this season, which is his lowest output in 5 years. Boston is likely to make life difficult on Mitchell, using their lengthy, physical perimeter defenders to force him into tough shot attempts. This is a tall number in a tough matchup.
