Happy Tuesday! The NBA has only 5 games on tap for this evening, but fans shouldn’t be short on entertainment, with stars such as Stephen Curry, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and Giannis Antetokounmpo scheduled to be in action.

The more pressing concern for bettors is the NBA injury report considering the number of injuries around the league. Ahead of tip-off, Chet Holmgren has already been ruled out. Norman Powell is another notable name who is questionable as of this writing.

As always, be sure to keep an eye on the status of key players as game-time approaches. Last minute inactives have the potential to create tremendous opportunity on the player prop market and DFS scene.

Below, you can find 3 of my favorite picks for Tuesday, October 28th!

Best NBA Player Props for Tuesday, October 28th

Here are my top player prop bets for today, with tip-off scheduled for 7:00 PM ET on Tuesday, October 28th:

Luguentz Dort OVER 3.5 Rebounds (-145, BetMGM)

In 4 games to begin the new season, Dort is averaging 5.3 rebounds and 10.8 rebound chances. Notably, he’s had at least 9 rebound chances in 3 of those contests, indicating that he’s been actively involved on the boards of late.

Tonight, Chet Holmgren has been ruled out with back soreness. Last year, Dort recorded 4+ rebounds in 62% of games in which Holmgren didn’t play. According to RotoGrinders CourtIQ, Dort averaged 4.8 rebounds per 30 minutes when both Holmgren and Jaylen Williams were off of the floor at the same time.

Dort should have his chances on the glass this evening in what should be a favorable matchup against the Kings.

Domantas Sabonis OVER 12.5 Rebounds (-118, BetMGM)

In 2 games since returning from injury, Sabonis has posted 12 rebounds against the Jazz and 14 rebounds against the Lakers. Even more notably, he’s had 25+ rebound chances in both of those contests.

Last season, Sabonis averaged 14.1 rebounds on 23.8 rebound chances per game – a 59.2% conversion rate. If he sees any positive regression in rebound chances this evening against the Thunder, he could threaten for close to 15 rebounds against an Oklahoma City team that often struggles on the glass.

Jimmy Butler OVER 17.5 Points (-102, FanDuel)

Add this pick with 1 click!PLACE THIS BET ONFANDUEL

Butler has been rather passive in Golden State’s last 2 games, attempting only 7 shots against Portland and 8 shots against Memphis. We shouldn’t expect such low shooting volume to continue for long given that Butler had 14+ shot attempts in the first 2 games of this season and averaged 11.1 field goal attempts per game after being traded to the Warriors last year.

The Clippers haven’t exactly been great defending opposing forwards early this season. It wouldn’t be surprising to see Butler flirt with 20 points tonight assuming we see a slight uptick in shots attempted.
