NBA Player Props Today – Wednesday, December 11, 2024
- Mikal Bridges Over/Under 16.5 Points
- Josh Hart Over/Under 8.5 Rebounds
- Stephen Curry Over/Under 25.5 Points
Mikal Bridges OVER 16.5 Points (-120, FanDuel)
Bridges got off to a slow start to the new campaign, but he’s really started to turn a corner of late. In December, Bridges is averaging 22.4 points per game on an efficient 56.4% shooting from the floor, including 45.2% shooting from 3-point territory. His efficiency will undoubtedly regress at some point, but his recent uptick in volume should be enough to cover up any regression to the mean at such a low market number – especially in a favorable matchup against the Hawks. Atlanta ranks 24th in opponent field goal percentage against forwards this season. Bridges should have a good chance to stay hot.
Josh Hart OVER 8.5 Rebounds (+118, FanDuel)
In 4 NBA Cup games this season, Hart is averaging 11.5 rebounds on 19.3 rebound chances per game. In those 4 games, Hart is averaging 39.5 minutes, which is notably higher than his 37 minutes per game for the entire regular season to date. There seems to be some evidence that New York is taking their quest to win the NBA Cup very seriously, to the point that they are willing to push their starters close to 40 minutes, on average, in these situations. The Hawks are not a terrible rebounding team, but they play at a fast pace, which creates more volume than usual for players across the board due to more total possessions. This is good value for a player who is averaging 8.3 rebounds per game this season.
Stephen Curry UNDER 25.5 Points (-120, DraftKings)
Curry has been playing good basketball to begin December, averaging 25.7 points in 3 games, but this is a very tough matchup for him against the Rockets. Houston enters play with the 2nd-best defensive rating in the entire NBA. They have been particularly good at defending guards, holding them to the 4th-lowest success rate on 3-point attempts and the 2nd-lowest field goal percentage overall. Curry could struggle in this spot.
