Wednesday’s 6-game NBA slate will be headlined by an ESPN doubleheader, beginning at 7:30 PM ET with the Thunder against the Pistons and followed by the Celtics against the Nuggets.
Even on a light slate, the NBA injury report includes a number of notable names. As of this writing, Scottie Barnes and Jaylen Brown are each listed as questionable. Amen Thompson and Isaiah Hartenstein have already been ruled out, and Evan Mobley, Chet Holmgren, and Alex Caruso are doubtful.
As always, be sure to use tools like CourtIQ and our NBA starting lineups page to evaluate how injuries impact usage and to search for inefficiencies in the player prop and DFS markets.

Best NBA Player Props for Wednesday, February 25th
Here are my top player prop bets for today, with tip-off scheduled for 7:30 PM ET on Wednesday, February 25th:
- James Harden Over/Under 7.5 Assists
- Alperen Sengun Over/Under 6.5 Assists
- Ausar Thompson Over/Under 9.5 Points
James Harden OVER 7.5 Assists (-145, DraftKings)
Since joining the Cavaliers, Harden is averaging 8 assists and 13.3 potential assists in 7 games. Yesterday’s game against the Knicks was the first time he’s fallen short of 8 assists while wearing a Cavaliers uniform.
Tonight, he gets a favorable matchup against Milwaukee – a team that ranks 25th in defensive rating since Giannis Antetokounmpo last played. During that time, they have been near the league average in terms of assists allowed to guards.
Harden should have every opportunity to clear this number in a semi-competitive game script.
Alperen Sengun OVER 6.5 Assists (+105, BetMGM)
According to CourtIQ, Sengun is averaging 7.6 assists per 36 minutes this season with Amen Thompson off of the floor. In the lone game that Thompson missed, Sengun had 11 assists on 16 potential assists against the Thunder.
Since Domantas Sabonis and Zach LaVine last played for the Kings, they have allowed the 5th-most assists per game to centers and rank dead last in defensive rating. This is good value for Houston’s best passer to make an impact as a facilitator.
Ausar Thompson UNDER 9.5 Points (-120, Hard Rock Bet)
Thompson scored 8 points on Monday against the Spurs, but he took only 6 shots. He’s now taken fewer than 10 shots in 22 of his last 26 games. Considering that he rarely makes shots from 3-point territory and that he rarely gets to the foul line, he lacks scoring upside on a nightly basis – particularly in tough matchups that are likely to hurt his overall efficiency.
The Thunder have the league’s best defense and have multiple capable defenders on the wings who are capable of slowing down Thompson. The under has value here.
