NBA Player Props Today – Wednesday, February 28, 2024

D’Angelo Russell Over/Under 5.5 Assists

Entering play on Wednesday, Russell has recorded at least 6 assists in 4 consecutive games. During that stretch, he has posted 16 potential assists (pAST) against the Jazz, 15 pAST against the Warriors, 11 pAST against the Spurs, and 11 pAST against the Suns.

During the month of February, the Clippers rank 26th in defensive rating and 24th in opponent assists allowed per game. Since February 10th, the Clippers have allowed 10 assists on 15 pAST to Cade Cunningham, 8 assists on 15 pAST to Vince Williams, 8 assists on 13 pAST to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and 7 assists on 12 pAST to De’Aaron Fox – just to name a few standout performances.

Russell should have every opportunity to get the job done for us in this spot.

Anthony Davis Over/Under 12.5 Rebounds

Ahead of tip-off on Wednesday, Davis has secured at least 13 rebounds in each of his last 5 games. In those games, he is averaging a healthy 21 rebound chances per game. Davis had 21 rebound chances against the Pistons, 24 rebound chances against the Jazz, 21 rebound chances against the Warriors, 17 rebound chances against the Spurs, and 22 rebound chances against the Suns, indicating that he has consistently had enough volume to make 13 actual rebounds sustainable.

Tonight, Davis gets a favorable matchup against the Clippers, who rank 24th in rebound percentage and 15th in opponent rebounds per game during February. Since February 10th, the Clippers have allowed 18 rebounds on 28 rebound chances to Jalen Duren, 15 rebounds on 25 rebound chances to Domantas Sabonis, and 11 rebounds on 25 rebound chances to Rudy Gobert.

The math certainly favors the over here. We will live with the results.

Tyrese Haliburton Over/Under 18.5 Points

Haliburton had only 9 points on Monday against the Raptors, but it’s reasonable to chalk that performance up to a rare inefficient night rather than read too much into anything. In his first 2 games out of the All-Star Break, Haliburton scored 25 points against the Pistons and 17 points against the Mavericks, with at least 15 shot attempts in both games. He’s evidently completely recovered from his early-2024 injury, considering he has played at least 30 minutes in 6 consecutive games. The Pelicans have allowed 19 points or more to Ayo Dosunmu, Amen Thompson, Jordan Poole, and D’Angelo Russell since February 9th alone. Haliburton projects well in this matchup.
