NBA Player Props Today – Wednesday, March 6, 2024

Jarrett Allen Over/Under 18.5 Points

Allen burned us yesterday, but he also took 16 field goal attempts, which was his most in a single game since February 25th. Tonight, Allen draws a subtly difficult matchup against the Hawks, who rank 4th in opponent field goal percentage on shots in the restricted area since Trae Young last played on February 23rd. Allen has not performed well on the second half of back-to-back sets this season, scoring 14 points or fewer in 6 of 8 such occurrences. Even without Donovan Mitchell active, Allen has only eclipsed this market number once in 3 games this season and twice in 6 games dating back to the beginning of last season. The under makes sense here.

Isaac Okoro Over/Under 12.5 Points

Okoro is another Cavaliers player who has struggled on the second half of back-to-back sets. This season, he has scored 11 points or fewer in 7 of 9 games on zero days rest, including 2 of 3 games in which Donovan Mitchell was inactive. Dating back to the beginning of last season, Okoro has scored more than 12 points only once in 6 games on the second half of back-to-back sets when Mitchell is not on the floor. Even in non back-to-back situations, Okoro has scored 12 points or fewer in 16 of 22 games that Mitchell has missed since the beginning of last season. Facing an Atlanta team that ranks 11th in defensive rating since Trae Young last played, Okoro could find it difficult to put the ball in the basket tonight.

Fred VanVleet Over/Under 17.5 Points

VanVleet has scored at least 20 points in 5 of his last 6 contests, but his recent run of success could hit a roadblock this evening against the Clippers. VanVleet has struggled mightily on zero days rest this season, scoring 14 points or fewer in 6 of 8 such occurrences. It’s also highly unlikely that VanVleet, who has shot 53.3% from the field in back-to-back games, continues to play at such an efficient level for long. VanVleet is shooting only 41% from the field so far this season and is only 40.3% from the field for his career. Assuming his recent volume remains constant, regression in efficiency should be enough for him to fall short of 18 points in this spot.
