NBA Best Bets Today – Wednesday, November 1

Sacramento Kings (+7) at Golden State Warriors

De’Aaron Fox has been ruled out for tonight’s game, but that should not keep the Sacramento Kings from competing in this spot. At this point in the Splash Brothers’ dynasty, the Golden State Warriors are far more concerned with competing for championships than achieving blowout wins during the regular season. Golden State pulled away late from the New Orleans Pelicans earlier in the week, but they played tightly-contested affairs in their other two wins this year. Sacramento and Golden State also just saw each other last week, and the hyper-proximity could contribute to a more competitive contest.

Los Angeles Clippers (+3) at Los Angeles Lakers

Many people expected Kawhi Leonard and Paul George to rest tonight on the second night of a back-to-back set despite head coach Tyronn Lue publicly stating that both players were planning to play on Wednesday. As a result, the initial line on this contest anchored the Los Angeles Clippers as an underdog. Other than a tough game in the altitude against the Utah Jazz, the Clippers have been sensational this year, winning each of their other three games by double-digits. The Los Angeles Lakers played an overtime affair in Sacramento on Sunday and then played their starters heavy minutes on Monday against the Orlando Magic. This is their third game in four nights, and there is minimal high-quality talent off of the bench ready to take the burden off of the starting unit. The Clippers appear to be a worthwhile risk in this spot.

Chicago Bulls at Dallas Mavericks (-3.5)

The Chicago Bulls have a collection of talented players on their team, but it is apparent that patience for this group is long gone and the inevitable tear down of the roster is coming sooner rather than later. Chicago had a player’s only meeting following an embarrassing opening night loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. They barely beat the Toronto Raptors, who have played extremely poorly to begin the new season. The Dallas Mavericks are without Kyrie Irving tonight, but it’s unlikely to matter too much. If anything, it feels as though we are getting a discounted line on a Dallas team that is far superior in this matchup.
