Best NBA Player Props for Wednesday, November 5th

Here are my top player prop bets for today, with tip-off scheduled for 7:00 PM ET on Wednesday, November 5th:

Jordan Poole OVER 17.5 Points (-118, DraftKings)

Add this pick with 1 click!PLACE THIS BET ONDRAFTKINGS

Poole had only 11 points on Tuesday against the Hornets, but he had 14 shot attempts, including 6 attempts from beyond the arc. In 7 games this season, he’s yet to have fewer than 11 shot attempts or 6 attempts from long range in a single contest.

On Wednesday, he will get to play a Dallas team that ranks 4th in the NBA in pace this year. The Mavericks have defended well above-the-break early this season, but they have been vulnerable in the restricted area, where Poole attempts most of his 2-point field goals. If Poole gets near 15 shot attempts again this evening, he should be in good position to hit the over on his points prop.

Victor Wembanyama UNDER 27.5 Points (-118, DraftKings)

Add this pick with 1 click!PLACE THIS BET ONDRAFTKINGS

Wembanyama is averaging 26.7 points per game to begin the new campaign, which is a significant increase from the 24.3 points per game he averaged as a sophomore. His field goal% is up by 5.1%, and he’s nearly doubled his rate of free throws per game.

Though it’s obviously possible that this upward trajectory is part of Wembanyama’s natural development, it’s also worth wondering if his early gains are at least a little bit inflated – especially after consecutive games in which he’s shot 43.5% and 28.6% from the field.

The Lakers aren’t a great defensive team, but neither are they a pushover. There could be some value on the under.

Derik Queen UNDER 11.5 Points (-127, DraftKings)

Queen, the 13th overall draft pick this summer, played 18 minutes on Tuesday – scoring 12 points. That being said, he scored 12 points on only 7 shot attempts. His 71.4% field goal percentage from yesterday is not likely to be something he sustains night-over-night as a rookie. Even after Tuesday’s strong showing, Queen is shooting only 48.8% from the floor this year. There could be some value on the under with the market slightly inflated after Tuesday’s results.
