NBA PrizePicks Predictions for October 25th: Stewart, Simmons, White Make Top Plays
In this article, we’ll take a deep dive into some of the top picks for the upcoming NBA slate on PrizePicks. Most predictions are heavily based on projections, but you can find an extra edge if you happen to know ball too.
PrizePicks – one of the most popular pick’em DFS sites – provides player projections for NBA matchups each day. The ball is then in our court to decide whether a player will ultimately exceed or fall short of those projections in the games. With a huge roster of players available from which to choose, we just need to make a minimum of two picks to build an entry. And if you haven’t signed up yet, you can grab a special offer with our PrizePicks promo code “GRINDERS” to get $50 on a $5 entry!
We’ll break down the board by looking at factors like usage rates, projected pace, lines in the sports betting market, and of course, our RotoGrinders projections to forecast how players might fare in categories like points, rebounds, and assists. We went 2-for-3 with yesterday’s picks, with only Jalen Williams thwarting us. Alas! We’re back with our second 10-game slate in the last 3 days, with quite a few appetizing expected game environments. Let’s dive in and build a winner.
PrizePicks Top NBA Plays for October 25

- Ben Simmons More/Less Than 6.5 Points

Pistons vs. Cavaliers PrizePicks Predictions
Isaiah Stewart MORE/LESS Than 11.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
You’ll never believe this, but the Pistons started the 2024-25 campaign with a loss. To their credit, they did give the Pacers a sweat and looked quite a bit more prepared than they did last season under Monty Williams. Detroit is back in action tonight as 11-point underdogs to a stingy Cavs outfit in Cleveland.
The Cavaliers have been among the NBA’s best defensive teams over the past couple of seasons under J.B. Bickerstaff, who happens to now be the coach of the Pistons. I doubt Cleveland will take a big step back in that regard now that Kenny Atkinson is in charge, as they suffocated the lowly Raptors in an impressive season-opening win.
Bickerstaff, meanwhile, ran a tight rotation in his first game on the sidelines a couple of days ago. After masquerading as a power forward playing next to Jalen Duren for much of the last 2 seasons, Stewart has been mercifully shifted back to a backup center role this season. Beef Stew only logged 16 minutes on opening night, and we have him projected for 17 in this one. Given that small role and the very difficult matchup against the Cavs’ stout frontcourt, I’m not expecting much statistical output from Stewart.

Nets vs. Magic PrizePicks Predictions
Ben Simmons More/Less Than 6.5 Points
A new season is upon us, which means we’re once again being subjected to narratives about Ben Simmons being BACK. He’s healthy (for now), and he played 24 minutes as a starter in the Nets’ season-opening loss in Atlanta.
Simmons used to be an All-Star, and he averaged north of 16 points per game over his first 3 seasons. That guy appears to be gone, unfortunately, and Simmons hasn’t topped 7 points per game in any of his last 2 seasons in limited action. He put 6 points on the board on just 4 field goal attempts vs. the Hawks, and he’s unlikely to generate much from the free throw line either.
Brooklyn’s matchup in Orlando is a difficult one, and this team only has an implied total of 101.75 points. I can’t believe we’re going to have to sweat a former No. 1 overall pick to score at least 7 points, but here we are. Our NBA DFS projections have him closer to 10 points, however, so we have to take value where we can find it. Let’s hope we see a rare offensive approach from Simmons tonight.
- PLAY: Simmons MORE Than 6.5 Points
Bulls vs. Bucks PrizePicks Predictions
Coby White More/Less Than 30.5 Fantasy Points
The Bulls look a bit different this season after swapping Alex Caruso for Josh Giddey over the summer. DeMar DeRozan is gone, while Zach LaVine is back after missing a ton of action last season. Giddey certainly isn’t going to take a lot of DeMar’s vacated usage. LaVine paced Chicago in that regard in the season opener, while White and Nikola Vucevic could also see boosts heading into the new campaign.
White had a breakout year last season, and he played 34 minutes in the first game of the season against New Orleans. His 21% usage rate wasn’t as high as I expect it to be moving forward, and he wasn’t all that efficient, shooting just 4-for-13 from the field. Even so, White still finished with around 30 fantasy points thanks to 8 rebounds and 6 assists.
Tonight’s matchup against the Bucks has the Bulls listed as 9.5-point underdogs, but this could be a fast-paced, up-and-down affair. He’s right around a fantasy-point-per-minute producer, and 35 projected minutes of action should be enough to push him past 30.5 fantasy points.
