NBA Same Game Parlay Picks Today: Rockets vs. Lakers (December 2)
Ready to start the weekend with an NBA Same Game Parlay that pays out +503? Follow along as NBA betting expert, Nick Galaida, breaks down his SGP picks for the Houston Rockets vs. Los Angeles Lakers matchup on Saturday.
Saturday’s NBA slate will conclude with a matchup between the Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers at Crypto.com Arena. The Rockets have lost back-to-back games after a promising start to the season and will be hoping to avoid falling below the .500 mark this evening. LeBron James and the Lakers lost by 23 points on Thursday to the Thunder – their second loss by 20-plus points in their last three games.
As always, it is worth noting that straight wagers are a far more profitable long-term betting strategy than parlays. Still, parlays can be a fun way to get some extra action on a game to make things interesting!
If looking for a long shot for today’s NBA slate, we have a +503 same game parlay, focusing on the matchup between the Rockets and Lakers!

D’Angelo Russell OVER 14.5 Points (-120)
D’Angelo Russell has been playing spirited basketball of late, including a 35-point performance earlier this week against the Pistons. Most encouraging from a betting perspective has been the fact that Russell has been aggressively seeking his shot of late, with at least 10 field goal attempts in five consecutive games. Houston has been vulnerable defensively against point guards in recent weeks, allowing 27 points to Kyrie Irving and 41 points to Luka Doncic as two recent examples. Russell has a good opportunity to deliver a strong performance on Saturday.
Dillon Brooks OVER 11.5 Points (-122)
Dillon Brooks has been effective on the offensive end of the floor of late for the Rockets, scoring at least 11 points in five of his last seven games. Tonight, he gets a favorable matchup against a Lakers defense that has struggled against opposing forwards of late – allowing 21 points to Jalen Williams on November 30 and 14 points to Isaiah Livers on November 29 as two recent examples. Brooks has taken 13 shot attempts or more in four of his last six games. If we get similar volume this evening, he should be able to get the job done here.
Fred VanVleet UNDER 8.5 Assists (+104)
Fred VanVleet is averaging 9.2 assists per game this year, but tonight’s matchup might not allow him to get a double-double. The Lakers have not allowed more than eight assists to an opposing point guard since November 19. In fact, VanVleet is the only point guard to have more than eight assists in a game against the Lakers this season. After completing that feat twice, it is unlikely that he is able to do it a third time – especially being on the road against a Los Angeles defense looking for a bounce-back performance after a tough loss their last time out.
