What is your favorite correlation and why?

Notorious: Jayden Daniels + Terry McLaurin + one or two players from Dallas to bring it back – I’m not going to sugarcoat it: Daniels did not play well in Week 1 against the Eagles. He couldn’t hit open receivers, and the offense stalled on a bunch of drives. However, he still finished the game with 18 fantasy points. If he can play poorly in a tough matchup on the road and still score 18 fantasy points, I can’t wait to see what he can do in a dream matchup indoors against the Cowboys. According to the Pick Six show here on RotoGrinders, the Cowboys’ EPA per drive allowed last week was the 4th worst of any defense in any game since the start of last season. They have new pieces and a new defensive coordinator, but this looks like the same old Cowboys’ defense. Daniels has a solid rushing floor, good weapons (my favorite is Terry McLaurin), and a potentially good game script as underdogs on the road. I’ll bring back the stack with one or two of CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, and Javonte Williams.

stevietpfl: Carson Wentz + Justin Jefferson + Luther Burden – As I’m writing this, Carson Wentz is likely to start the game on Sunday, but either way, I like whoever starts at quarterback. Wentz came in for Murray in Week 1 and threw for 133 yards on 19 attempts. In Week 1, the Bears defense allowed 361 passing yards to Bryce Young. Jefferson had a 37.5% target rate and was the first read 53.3% of the time. With the Bears’ awful defense, I want to be overweight on the Vikings passing game. The Bear’s offense was firing on all fronts in Week 1. Burden didn’t have the game we were hoping for, but this is an excellent bounce-back spot for him. It’s encouraging to see a 27.8% first-read rate. I think this game has a lot of potential to be the highest-scoring game of the weekend.

Krayton: Dak Prescott + CeeDee Lamb + Javonte Williams – It was a disappointing start to the season, but I love this spot for the Cowboys versus the Commanders. We saw Prescott go for 307/2 and 264/3 last season against them, and this is an elite spot for him to put up a big game. Lamb had a huge game last year against the Commanders, going 5/110/1, and I love adding Javonte Williams into the mix, capturing the bulk of the Cowboys TDs. We saw Williams control the backfield last week with a 71% snap share, and he’s priced very reasonably on both sites.

ebeimfohr: Caleb Williams + Luther Burden – It’s sort of shocking that the field isn’t really running back to the Bears after a 59-point outburst last week, but I will take it. Ben Johnson continues to be adamant about scoring as many points as possible, and he’s also generally going to be forced to do so given the fact that the Bears defense is absolutely putrid. Kevin O’Connell will be able to score points against the Bears, and Brian Flores’ pressure-packed defense is extremely susceptible to big plays while forcing opponents to the air often (as we saw last week). Johnson should have answers to this Flores test, and I think that’s going to be using Burden’s elite YAC ability to alleviate that pressure. Burden is one of the very best YAC players in the league, averaging the 4th-most YAC per reception last season, and the second-year breakout candidate already picked up 29 yards of YAC in the opener. The Bears are going to continue to score gobs of points every week, and I think this week it flows more through Williams and Burden.

ncorfield8k: Drake Maye + DeMario Douglas – This feels gross. The Patriots were a dud last week against the Seahawks, and now they get another tough defense in the Steelers. But everyone appears ready to write off Drake Maye’s 2025 success as a result of the easy schedule. In tournaments, I’m willing to roll the dice that people are overreacting to a few tough recent games against elite defenses. And I don’t think we really know what this Steelers defense is yet, especially with Joey Porter Jr. likely to be out once again. They’ve only faced the Falcons so far (led by Cooper Rush). And with A.J. Brown out, the Patriots stack is a great value.

Davis Mattek: Caleb Williams + Luther Burden – The team that scored 59 points last week after saying they wanted to break the NFL scoring record now has a matchup that allowed Christian Watson and Matthew Golden to top 20+ expected fantasy points. Any slate where Williams and Burden are not in the top-5 ownership pairings is a wealth-generation spot.

Jordan Vanek: Dak Prescott + CeeDee Lamb / George Pickens + Jake Ferguson + Terry McLaurin – This is a bounce-back spot for both offenses, and I think McLaurin is a player who will get a lot of hate because of how good Antonio Williams looked. McLaurin drew a tough coverage matchup last week, and that won’t be the case this week against DaRon Bland. On the Cowboys’ side, Javonte Williams is a good volume play, but the path to multiple touchdowns is through Prescott and the passing game. The Commanders brought in a new DC who seems to blitz a lot while playing two-high behind it. That’s where Ferguson can control the middle of the field, and when the protection holds up, it can create big-play opportunities for Pickens or Lamb. Both WRs are capable of a massive performance and are great plays in this matchup.
