What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

Notorious: I prefer small-field tournaments. I think the common build in these tournaments is going to be using Christian McCaffrey with one of the expensive wide receivers. I’m going to be unique with my roster construction. In my CMC lineups, I’m going to use three cheaper receivers. In my non-CMC lineups, I’m going to get two of the expensive receivers in there. I’m hoping my roster construction is enough to differentiate my lineups in those tournaments.

stevietpfl: I’ll be playing a little of everything this weekend. I’ll hand-build some lineups in single-entry and 3-max contests. I’ll use our NFL DFS optimizer (LineupHQ) to get lineups for large-field contests that focus on the stacks I want to build around. I think lineup correlation is important every week but even more so this week. We have some lower totals, and pricing is a little tougher than normal. This week, I’m going to take some shots on more cheaper pass-catchers who are a part of my stacks.

Krayton: I will be playing mostly single-entry and 20-max contests this weekend. I will be looking to do more game stacks and concentrating on just a handful of games I love. I already talked about the NYG/CHI game, but I also want exposure to LAR/SF along with DET/WAS. On slates like this, with a few games with lower totals, I love over-stacking some of the games with higher totals that are projected to be close.

ebeimfohr: For me, this slate has a particularly small player pool, so I’ll be really focused on smaller-field tournaments where I hone in on that ultra-tight core of players. I will certainly be leaning into some of the chalk and using some of my extremely low-pOWN% options to fill in the gaps in these fields, where absolutely no one will be playing some of these pivots.

ncorfield8k: Large-field tournaments. With some enticing games but none separating from the pack, I’ll have some large game stacks. There are plenty of contrarian plays I like, with Quinshon Judkins being my favorite overall play at barely double-digit ownership. I’ll likely also eat the chalk with Rico Dowdle, who is in a great spot.

Davis Mattek: In my single-entry and 3-max contests, I will be prioritizing Jahmyr Gibbs over De’Von Achane for ownership reasons and also forcing in Marvin Harrison Jr. and Jauan Jennings as my mid-tier WR targets (as opposed to Wan’Dale Robinson and Deebo Samuel).

Jordan Vanek: I prefer 3-max contests this weekend because I want to have multiple combos of a Lions onslaught. Jared Goff being the best QB on the slate would be the path for me to be different, and having him throw for 4 or more TDs would give me the edge I need.

Who’s your favorite contrarian play (below 10% pOWN%) and why?
