What is your favorite correlation and why?
Notorious: Caleb Williams + Rome Odunze + CeeDee Lamb or Javonte Williams – This is a fairly chalky stack, but I mostly focus on small-field tournaments, so I can afford to eat some chalk at a few positions. Caleb Williams has been one of the least accurate passers in the league this season, yet he has still averaged 21 fantasy points per game. He has rushing upside and plenty of weapons in the passing game. This week, he plays at home against the Cowboys, who just gave up a career game to Russell Wilson and Malik Nabers. My favorite wideout to pair him with is Odunze, who boasts a 28% target share and 46% air yards share in the first 2 games of the season. I like bringing it back with Lamb, who has the 2nd-most expected fantasy points per game (23.5) of any receiver in the NFL. Or you can bring it back with Javonte Williams, who has been one of the biggest surprises in the NFL this season.
stevietpfl: Caleb Williams + Rome Odunze + CeeDee Lamb – I don’t think the Dallas defense is as bad as it showed last weekend, but I still don’t think they have a good pass defense. This looks to be one of the most popular spots on the slate, and I’m all for it. In Week 1, Dallas held the Eagles to 144 passing yards. In Week 2, Russell Wilson and the Giants threw for 422 passing yards. Granted, most of that was in the 2nd half with a couple deep shots. Odunze has a 33.3% first-read percentage. He leads the team with 27.9% target rate and 46.4% of the air yards. I’ll have a lot of exposure to this game. My main bring-back will be CeeDee. He has a 27.9% target rate with 42% of the team’s air yards. He also leads the team with a 33.9% first-read percentage.
Krayton: Dak Prescott + CeeDee Lamb + Rome Odunze – I love both QBs in this game, and even though it is going to be a popular game stack (with Williams and Dak Prescott both projected to be fairly popular), I don’t mind at all in my single-entry builds, as I typically play the players that project the best and then look for 2-3 players that are projected for single-digit ownership. To start the season, the Bears are struggling on defense when it comes to the passing game, and I expect Dak, Lamb, and George Pickens to put up good numbers here. On the Bears side, Odunze has been fantastic to start the season, and I want to get exposure to both him and DJ Moore, as even the Giants were able to put up big numbers against the Cowboys. This is an elite game to stack, and I will be getting plenty of exposure to both sides.
ebeimfohr: Dak Prescott + George Pickens – DAL/CHI is the game of the week from a stacking perspective, but the field is gravitating more towards Caleb Williams, Rome Odunze, and CeeDee Lamb. Those are clearly good options, but Dak and Pickens stand out as potentially being massively under-owned relative to the others. Dak has been elite to start the season, grading out as the 2nd-best QB (per PFF) behind Matthew Stafford and lapping the field in big-time throws. The Cowboys backfield has simply stolen a bunch of their TDs so far (4) to keep his fantasy production in check. If those TDs bounce more toward Dak, Pickens could a huge beneficiary to explode in Week 3. CeeDee is the lead receiver here, but Pickens has 5 of the Cowboys’ 7 end-zone targets in 2 games.
ncorfield8k: Dak Prescott + CeeDee Lamb + George Pickens – That’s right, I’m going back to one of my favorite stacks from last week. It did fine-not-great last week, but the potential remains high for true fireworks. The Bears have given up 13.2 yards per reception, which is the 3rd highest in the NFL. The Cowboys’ pass rate over expectation moved in the right direction in Week 2, up to 5.9%. And Lamb and Pickens remain one of the top receiver tandems in the NFL. The Bears also have strong bring-backs in Rome Odunze and DJ Moore.
Davis Mattek: Daniel Jones + Tyler Warren – Warren leads all tight ends in first-read target share, even after a game where Josh Downs saw his snap rate increase because the Colts were trailing. Playing downhill, the Colts will use more 12 personnel, which will keep the target-earning Downs off the field. Through 2 games, the Colts have opted for QB sneaks over handing the ball to Jonathan Taylor at the goal line. That is not to say they will do so all season, but it does increase Jones’ ceiling and floor.
Jordan Vanek: Carson Wentz + T.J. Hockenson – Once upon a time, Wentz was feeding his tight ends at one of the highest rates in the league. Now, he’s paired with one of the best play-callers in football and should get a huge boost with franchise LT Christian Darrisaw returning. Yes, the Vikings’ offense has struggled, but the offensive line hasn’t given plays time to develop, and ever since Darrisaw went down last season, they’ve lacked consistency in the deep passing game. With a veteran QB who’s absorbed lessons as a backup under Andy Reid and Sean McVay, I expect Wentz to put on a show against this Bengals defense. At his DraftKings price ($4,000), he’s as cheap as it gets and opens the door to jam in studs across your lineup.

About the Author

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
