What is your favorite correlation and why?

Notorious: Jared Goff + Jahmyr Gibbs – My hope with this pairing is to capture all of the Lions’ offensive touchdowns. David Montgomery could always steal a score or two, but the matchup sets up a lot better for Gibbs. The Buccaneers are one of the premier pass-funnel matchups. They are 21st in EPA per dropback allowed and 1st in EPA against the run. When the Lions played the Buccaneers last season, Goff dropped back 50 times and Gibbs had 7 receptions.

stevietpfl: Baker Mayfield + Mike Evans + Jahmyr GibbsJared Goff is likely going to be the highest-owned quarterback on this slate. While I do like him and this spot, I want to be different on a 2-game slate. Tampa’s offense has looked great this season, and they’ll need to be great to keep up with the Lions. I’m hoping Gibbs can find the end zone a couple of times and that Goff spreads out the rest of the touchdowns. On the Tampa side, I’m hoping Mayfield goes to his No. 1 target returning from injury. If Emeka Egbuka returns, I’ll have some exposure to this stack with him instead of Evans as well. Mayfield has thrown multiple touchdowns in all but 1 game this season.

ebeimfohr: Baker Mayfield + Mike Evans – While the field is gravitating more toward the Jared Goff side of this game stack, give me the Baker side with the Bucs getting healthier at WR. Evans is likely to play, and there is optimism around Emeka Egbuka, which should give Baker all the weapons he needs to light up a vulnerable Lions pass defense. The Lions are one of the premier pass funnels in the league, with the 3rd-best run defense from an EPA/play perspective but a poor pass defense that’s dealing with numerous injuries. With three members of the secondary out, the Bucs should be able to feast through the air, and that should lead to plenty of Evans as he returns to an alpha role.

ncorfield8k: Jared Goff + Amon-Ra St. Brown + Cade Otton – This is a great matchup for Goff and Sun God against a Buccaneers defense that has allowed the 6th-most schedule-adjusted fantasy points per game to wide receivers. St. Brown has 50 targets on the season. The Lions are heavily favored but have shown a willingness to keep throwing even with a lead.

Davis Mattek: Jared Goff + Amon-Ra St. Brown + Jameson Williams – While DFS has largely moved on from concepts like “run funnels,” that’s exactly what the Bucs are. Their run defense is stout, and their interior defensive line is outstanding, while their secondary is slow and banged up. On a slate like this, we want to do as much over-stacking as possible, and I love going with Goff, St. Brown and Williams (who saw 8 touches against the Chiefs – the most of his career). I do think the team knows that Williams’ performance is tied to their long-term ceiling.

Jordan Vanek: C.J. Stroud + Nico Collins + Jayden Higgins – Before the bye week, Higgins saw an uptick in usage, running routes on 45.7% of dropbacks. When he’s on the field, he’s been targeted more often than Xavier Hutchinson, and I think there’s a chance we see Higgins a lot more tonight. According to separation metrics from Fantasy Points, Higgins has simply been the better route runner. Seattle’s secondary will key in on Collins, and once Higgins starts hitting on big plays, it should open up the entire Texans passing game.
