NFL DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Week 16 (Christmas Slate)
What is your favorite correlation on the slate and why?
Notorious: Jalen Hurts + A.J. Brown + Darius Slayton – After three straight losses, the Eagles get the ultimate bounceback spot at home against the Giants. I expect them to play well on both ends of the ball and to keep their foot on the gas a little longer than usual. While I don’t mind Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, and Brock Purdy, Hurts has the best matchup of the bunch. He also has the tush push, which has helped him rush for 14 touchdowns this season. It’s been a while since we’ve seen a breakout game from Brown, but he has seen 36 targets over the last 3 games alone. I like bringing back the stack with Slayton, who continues to play a lot of snaps and get looks down the field. The Eagles are dead last in fantasy points allowed to wide receivers.
squirrelpatrol: Lamar Jackson + Zay Flowers + Brandon Aiyuk – Salary isn’t as big of an issue on this slate as it would be on a main slate, so I’m likely to target the highest total game of the three on the slate with the most explosive play makers in the game. The 49ers defense isn’t an easy matchup, but they do give up the second-most receptions per game in the NFL, so I’ll target the Baltimore WRs, particularly Zay Flowers. Any of the four main San Francisco weapons can hit for a big score, but I’ll prioritize Aiyuk, who leads the entire NFL in yards per reception this season.
Krayton: Brock Purdy + Christian McCaffrey + Deebo Samuel and/or George Kittle – Purdy continues to be underpriced on DK as he puts up big numbers. He has thrown for 10 TDs in the last 3 games, and he is now a favorite for MVP. I will be playing CMC in each of my lineups, and I really like the idea of paying up for Deebo or playing Kittle to capture as much of the SF offense as I can. I have been playing Deebo the last 3-4 weeks, and he has not disappointed. He did get a big price bump on DK to $7,700, but that should keep his ownership down. I like going overweight on the SF offense, and my favorite option on the Baltimore side is getting Isaiah Likely. He is way too cheap and is leading the team in targets and receiving yards in the last 2 weeks.
ebeimfohr: Lamar Jackson + Ravens WR + George Kittle – My favorite way to approach this slate is by attacking the BAL/SF game but in a slightly different way than the field. Clearly, we all love Christian McCaffrey, and he can be brought along here too. But Lamar is one of the highest-ceiling QBs in the league (yes, he still is), but he has been held back by some tough TD luck and the Ravens not being pushed in the 2nd half. They’ll easily be pushed here by the best offense in the NFL, and that will force Lamar to put the team on his shoulders, which makes his WRs very valuable on a small slate. Combine that with a lower-owned George Kittle at TE who can break the slate at any point, and you have the perfect start.
eys819: Lamar Jackson + Christian McCaffrey + Deebo Samuel + Zay Flowers + Isaiah Likely – Stacking up the final game of the day allows for maximum flexibility to take advantage of late swap. If my lineups hit on a few spots in the early games, I can stand pat with chalkier pieces like McCaffrey and Likely. If things go poorly at the beginning, I can swap off of the popular pieces to lower-owned players like George Kittle and Odell Beckham. This game has shootout potential with the highest total of the three games, and when you add in the value of late swap, this is easily the game that makes the most sense to build around.
