NFL DFS Showdown Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Thursday Night Football (Cowboys vs. Giants)

DRAFTKINGS

Who are your three favorite Captains, ranked in order?

Notorious: CeeDee Lamb, Malik Nabers, Daniel Jones
headChopper: Dak Prescott, Daniel Jones, Malik Nabers
ncorfield8k: Malik Nabers, Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb
Davis Mattek: CeeDee Lamb, Malik Nabers, Devin Singletary

What is your favorite game-script build and why?

Notorious: I certainly see the potential for the Cowboys putting everything together and blowing the doors off the Giants in this game. However, that’s not how I plan to build my lineups. I don’t feel great about the backfield with Rico Dowdle, Ezekiel Elliott, and Deuce Vaughn all getting touches. Then, on the Giants side of the ball, we have an extremely concentrated offense. Devin Singletary has handled 80% of the running back touches, Malik Nabers has seen a 35% target share, and Daniel Jones brings rushing upside to the table. Against my better judgment, I’ll have just as much exposure to New York as I will to Dallas.

headChopper: Dallas finally puts together a big offensive game and boat-races the Giants. They build a big lead early through the air and take the air out in the 4th quarter. The Giants have a good fantasy game in comeback mode with lots of targets to Malik Nabers and checkdowns to Devin Singletary.

ncorfield8k: The Cowboys are able to take advantage of two backup cornerbacks and score over 30 points. The Giants are able to keep it close by exploiting the Cowboys’ subpar run defense. Many fantasy points are scored on both teams, and ultimately, we finally get a Showdown slate without any kickers or defenses in the winning lineup.

Davis Mattek: Dallas cannot run the ball, and they cannot stop the run. They are touchdown favorites, and I’m not disputing the sharpness of that line, but I do think it misrepresents the caliber of team they are. Daniel Jones can turn the ball over against air, so Dallas may well jump out to a big lead, but they are bottom half of the league in run-blocking grade and bottom third in explosive run rate. Oddly, I think Dallas will continue to throw with the lead and the Giants will find success running even if they are down. I expect this to be closer than the market does.

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large field, single entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
