A daily fantasy sports OG, Notorious has been roaming the DFS streets ever since they were invented. So, who better to walk you through all of the key NFL DFS positions each week? Noto has racked up multiple live final seats and several six-figure tournament wins in his DFS career, and he will mix it up in all different types of contests. In his Key Personnel article, he will walk you through his favorite NFL DFS picks, ways to pivot away from the chalk, and overall strategy for the upcoming slate.

Sadly, this will be the final Key Personnel article of the season. I’m sure I will have some type of content up for the Super Bowl, so be on the lookout for that. The NFL is truly the king when it comes to sports. The Chiefs-Bills game put up record numbers, and you know they have the masses hooked when we start to hear conspiracy theories flying around. I’ve already heard that the Ravens and Niners are going to win this weekend because they match the colors of the Super Bowl logo. I’ve also heard the NFL is pushing to get the Chiefs into the Super Bowl to truly maximize their new Swiftie fanbase. Ultimately, we are all going to watch no matter who wins this weekend.

Thanks for following along all season, now let’s end on a high note!

NFL DFS Top Picks & Plays: Noto’s Key Personnel for the Conference Championships

Quarterback

EXPERT PLAY TAG

Brock Purdy: $6,400 DK / $7,700 FD

We haven’t seen the ultra-efficient Brock Purdy since Week 15 against the Cardinals. In his last 3 games combined, he’s had more interceptions (4) than touchdowns (3). Should we assume that defenses have figured him out or that he’s lost some of his confidence? I’m not going to jump to conclusions yet. Given his matchup against the Lions, he’s my favorite point-per-dollar play at quarterback this weekend. As I often mention in this article, Detroit might be the best pass-funnel matchup in the NFL. This season, they are 1st in DVOA against the run and 25th in EPA against the pass. We saw the Rams and Buccaneers air it out early and often against the Lions in the first two rounds of the playoffs. This is easily the best matchup for a quarterback in the Conference Championships, and Purdy will hopefully have all of his weapons available for this game.

EVERYONE ELSE

Lamar Jackson makes a strong case for the top play at quarterback this week. He was the highest-scoring player in the divisional round (39 fantasy points), and he’s about to win the second MVP award of his career. I plan to have exposure to both, but I tagged Purdy over Jackson because he’s cheaper and finds himself in a better matchup. Jackson has leaned into his rushing upside recently, amassing at least 70 rushing yards in 3 of his last 5 games. The Chiefs have an elite pass rush (2nd in sacks per game) and an elite pass defense (5th in DVOA), but they allowed the 9th-most rushing yards to quarterbacks during the regular season. They also gave up 72 yards and 2 touchdowns on the ground to Josh Allen in the Divisional Round. There’s a good chance Jackson will have his star tight end back in the lineup as well.
