In this space, we’ll look at the PrizePicks board for the Falcons vs. Eagles and try to make some predictions based on projections, trends, and the market.

PrizePicks, one of the best DFS sites for NFL fantasy pick’em, lays out player projections for us, which we stack to create entries that pay real money. They prompt us with a statistical projection for a player, and we get to pick whether or not the player will get More or Less than the number offered. There are hundreds of players from whom to choose, and we only have to make at least two picks to create an entry. Saquon Barkley MORE/LESS 24.5 Receiving Yards (DEMON) and MORE/LESS 89.5 Rush Yards (DEMON)

If I’m playing only one PrizePicks contest, the one DEMON projection that we can feel good about attacking is Saquon Barkley to get 25+ receiving yards. He only saw 2 targets in Week 1 but played 80.3% of the team’s snaps and still logged 23 yards against what might be a tough Packers defense. 25 yards just isn’t much to ask for, considering the general volume he’s getting.

Attacking Barkley’s 89.5 DEMON rush yards projection is a little tighter, but we should feel safe in saying that the Eagles are the Saquon Barkley Show before everything else. He saw 24 carries on top of his 2 targets in Week 1, and there should be no sign of slowing down as a 5.5-point favorite at home.

RotoGrinders has Barkley projected for 24 receiving yards and 80.7 rush yards.

Kirk Cousins MORE/LESS 249.5 Pass Yards (DEMON)

This is where we get a little ugly, but Kirk Cousins has a DEMON projection that feels a bit low for the volume that he should get as a 5.5-point road underdog. Cousins looked bad in Week 1, but he’s pretty consistently logged 262.4 pass yards per game over his career as a full-time starter. The concern is that this Falcons offense doesn’t click at all in a tougher matchup, but RotoGrinders projections say to trust that the yardage will come with volume, as we have him projected for 240.4 pass yards.

Dallas Goedert MORE/LESS 59.5 Receiving Yards (DEMON)

This is where things get a little interesting for our purposes. It’s tough to project where the ball will go with Philly on normal weeks because of all of their weapons. But A.J. Brown is gonna be out, and the PrizePicks DEMON projection on Dallas Goedert hasn’t caught up to him enough. Under normal conditions, Goedert is safe for 4 targets, but we did see him get 6+ targets in 9 of 15 games in 2022-2023, including the playoffs. RotoGrinders has Goedert projected for 59 receiving yards, which feels like a slam dunk; but be careful, as Goedert is a boom-bust player for yardage, and – again – this is Barkley’s offense.
