Lamar Jackson MORE Than 220.5 Pass Yards

Jackson took a huge step last season in becoming an ultra-efficient passer. The volume was low, and we shouldn’t expect much of a bump there, but we should expect a close game where he can’t afford to take the foot off of the gas.

Jackson averaged nearly 230 yards per game in 2023. Normally, we’d look for a great matchup to shoot for a QB’s passing ceiling, but that’s not always the case with Jackson. For Jackson, we need the game to be close and fast for his ceiling to come through, because then the Ravens will feel the need to keep throwing.

A matchup on the road against the Chiefs in a game with a 47 total and a tight spread should be the type of situation where Jackson gets a lot of all-around volume. We have Jackson projected for 230.7 passing yards.

Travis Kelce MORE Than 7.5 Targets

Speaking of volume, I can’t fully buy into Rashee Rice getting Tyreek Hill levels of volume just yet. The Ravens have a defense on them, but Patrick Mahomes is gonna push a pace that he should be able to control on opening night at home. And we should see a lot of volume toward #87 in the process.

But don’t just believe me. Kelce is projected by RotoGrinders for a whopping 9.8 targets, and that sounds about right.

Derrick Henry MORE Than 7.5 Receiving Yards

Expecting the higher end of Jackson’s volume, Henry should catch a ball or two, and that might be all that we need to get up to 8 receiving yards. This could be a degen sweat because he isn’t a high-volume receiver, but he isn’t inept in the passing game either. Henry has caught 51 balls since the start of the 2022-23 season, and he’s tough to tackle. Like I said, this could be a sweat, but we just need one or two balls his way to get there.
