NFL Week 15 Player Props: Best Bets for Rodgers, Wilson, Godwin

rodgers800

First week of most fantasy football playoffs you say? Well, good luck setting a complete roster. My taste? I would much rather place a few bets on player props on Sunday and guarantee a few sweats. While the injury and ailment news continues to filter in, let’s take a look at the NFL Sunday slate. Keep an eye on the news and let’s dig in!

Normally, I recap the previous article’s picks. Another two-for-three week added a few shekels to our season total — keeping us in the black for another week. I am awaiting the breakthrough, though, and the COVID-19 protocol as well as injury news is muddling up Sunday’s action. A couple of games are already on the move, with the Browns and Raiders moving from Saturday to Monday, and the Seahawks, Rams, Football Team, and Eagles all playing on Tuesday. With only ten games available for betting on Sunday, we have some work to do.

Make sure to check out our game breakdowns in the sports betting section and some NFL betting tips prior to diving into this weekend’s action.

NFL Week 15 Player Props

Aaron Rodgers Over/Under 270.5 Passing Yards

The Packers travel to Baltimore with back-to-back wins and a white-hot quarterback. Aaron Rodgers looks to continue a three-game streak of passing for more than 300 yards against a Ravens defense that is more feared by name.

The Ravens seem to be in freefall. After a tough loss to the Browns featuring a Lamar Jackson injury, the Ravens are scrambling to regain some momentum that carried them through the early part of the season. A once-vaunted defense, the Ravens are giving up the second-worst passing yards per game number to opposing teams (266.1). Combine that number with a stellar 3.9 rushing yards per attempt on defense, the Baltimore defense is built for opponents to disregard the run game and attack through the air.

That sounds like music to the ears of Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers and the Packers love to throw the football, often with a short passing game that supplants a running attack. While the two-headed backfield — Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon — is very effective, Aaron Rodgers would much prefer to pepper his favorite target as frequently as possible.

On the road, I suspect Aaron Rodgers is going to throw the ball enough to eclipse this passing total. Give me the best number on DraftKings.

PROP: 1.15u on Rodgers Over 270.5 Passing Yards (-115) at DraftKings

Jeff Wilson Over/Under 60.5 Rushing Yards

Say it with me. Jeff Wilson has not gained more than 60 yards in any football games this season. Despite being the quasi-feature back a few times, Wilson is yet to put together a ceiling performance. With JaMycal Hasty lurking and Deebo Samuel receiving five carries per game, Wilson’s workload seems capped barring a 49ers’ blowout.

I don’t want to pay to go over a number that hasn’t been reached this season. When you add Deebo as a rushing threat, the 49ers might not be able to hand the ball enough for all of their weapons to put together a big game. While he is always a threat for a long run, I will take my chances in what I believe is a bloated line for Wilson.

Give me the under for the best price at PointsBet.

PROP: 1.05u on Wilson Under 60.5 Rushing Yards (-105) at PointsBet

Chris Godwin Over/Under 74.5 Receiving Yards

Normally, I do not include the Sunday night game in my article. That said, with the moving parts this week, I feel obligated to include Chris Godwin given my desire to make this bet.

Godwin went on a tear over the last two weeks — catching 25 of 32 targets for 248 yards. While the lack of a touchdown puts a damper on his DFS stock, Godwin seems to be the favorite target of MVP-likely Tom Brady. Well, of course, Godwin is his favorite target. Godwin seems to bring the skillset of Wes Welker or Julian Edelman to the table with freak athleticism. Often making a quick catch a really big play, Godwin should see enough work to make a run at this over.

Without even considering the Saints’ defense, Godwin’s game feels matchup proof. With how many quick hitters Brady will send his way, Godwin will crush this total barring injury. I am really happy to bet this prop and will be doing so on FanDuel for a one-yard discount.

PROP: 1.14u Godwin Over 74.5 Receiving Yards (-114) at FanDuel
