NFL Week 18 Weather Report and Forecast

Ravens QB Jackson

We close out Week 18 of the NFL regular season with a whole bunch of freezing cold games, plus a little wind and rain.

This NFL weather article will highlight any extreme temperatures, precipitation, and, most importantly, high winds that we could see across the NFL landscape this week. If a game isn’t specifically listed in this week’s report, that means the weather is quiet enough for it not to be an issue in that particular game.

NFL Week 18 Weather Report & Forecast

As always, it’s best to stay up to date with the very latest forecasts, so follow me on Twitter @KevinRothWx and keep an eye on my NFL weather report.

A reminder that while temperature and rain/snow can impact a game, the greatest impact by far comes from high wind, so I’ll be looking to highlight those spots when possible.

Saturday, January 4th

Cleveland Browns at Baltimore Ravens – Temp right around freezing with gusty winds. Sustained winds should be 15-20 mph, with gusts reaching as high as 30 mph.

Cincinnati Bengals at Pittsburgh Steelers – Temperature well below freezing (low 20s), with a 10 mph sustained wind gusting a bit stronger than that. The wind-chill or “feels-like” temperature should be right around 0 degrees.

Sunday, January 5th

Buffalo Bills at New England Patriots – Temp around freezing with a 10 mph wind.

New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles – Temp around freezing with a 10 mph wind.

Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers – Temp in the teens, light winds.

Houston Texans at Tennessee Titans – A good chance for a cold rain. I can’t rule out a bit of a rain/snow mix, either. Winds 10-15 mph sustained with stronger gusts. All in all, nasty weather for spectators and athletes alike.

Miami Dolphins at New York Jets – Temp a bit above freezing, 10 mph winds.

Weather Impact on Fantasy & Betting

I’m not too concerned with any of the “Temp around freezing, 10 mph wind” games… but I do have my eye on Baltimore, where winds will be a bit more potent, as well as Tennessee, where we likely end up seeing some rain. If Tennessee looks locked into the rain all game (and I won’t know until closer to kickoff), that would be the highest-impact game this week.

In case things change, I’ll be posting radar GIFs to Twitter as we get closer to kickoff: @KevinRothWx on Twitter.
