NFL Week 7 Betting Picks – Rams -3 at Falcons, O/U 55

This game features two of tho most disappointing teams in the NFL, at least to this point of the season. Many picked the Falcons to win their division before the season start. Now Atlanta sits at one of the worst records in the NFL. Things aren’t as dire for the Rams, but they follow up their NFC Championship season sitting at .500 and are 2.5 games back of the lead in the NFC West. There’s still a lot of work to do for Sean McVay.

Rams have struggled offensively and especially defensively through the first six weeks. While the Rams are a .500 team they have lost three straight. Their three wins at the beginning of the season were against the Browns who look terrible, the Panthers who had Cam at the helm, and the Saints who were forced to replace Brees with Bridgewater early in the game.. While the Rams have had tough matchups over the last two weeks, their defense has continued to look terrible. The Rams are near the bottom of the league in turnovers and turnover differential and their offensive line has looked porous in recent weeks. With Marcus Peters traded, Aquib Talib being placed on the IR, and Ramsey just trying to mesh with the defense on short notice, the Rams secondary looks like it will struggle against a Falcons team that has a trio of solid receivers and one of the top passing offenses in the NFL.

The Falcons have looked worse than the Rams. They currently sit at 1-5, but to their credit, Atlanta has faced five teams that were either in the playoffs last year or are likely be in the playoffs this year. Additionally, the Falcons are a team that is historically much better at home and they have only played two games on their home turf so far. While they may not be good, the public perception of them is definitely lower than it should be. This Falcons offense is second in the league in offensive yards (although it hasn’t completely translated to points) and that’s with facing several stout defenses. They are due for some positive regression on the offensive end and they get a matchup against a Rams defense that has allowed over 100 points in their last three games.

My NFL Week 7 Betting Pick: If you can’t already tell, I really like the Falcons in this spot They are getting 3 points at home, a place where they have performed great in hte past. Additionally, there has been some reverse line movement. Over 70% of the total bets have come in on the Rams and the line has dropped a full point here. The Falcons pass atack can take advantage of this Rams secondary. In fact, I think the Falcons win this one outright. Falcons +3 (use our FanDuel Sportsbook promo code to get these odds)
