What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
TastefulTides: Single-entry and 3-max GPPs are my preferred format. This is a pretty tricky slate. Not only is it on the shorter side, with only 5 games to choose from, there isn’t a straightforward “correct” way to build. Dallas is in a really good spot against the Ducks, but Colorado is always fantastic. I will likely let ownership dictate who to choose from on the high end. For cheaper stacks, I like the Islanders, Hurricanes, and possibly a one-off (or two) of the Canucks.
boggslite: Single-entry is my preferred format tonight. Fading Nathan MacKinnon at home is always a risky proposition, but I like the matchup and prices more for Dallas despite playing on consecutive nights. Dallas has a great top 6, which can make it difficult choosing between lines, but I like Jason Robertson and Roope Hintz based on the matchup against a Ducks team that plays with a lot of speed and not a lot of toughness. I will likely pair them with some cheaper skaters from Carolina, Colorado, or the Islanders, based on whether or not Mathew Barzal plays.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
