What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Moneyball16: Large-field GPPs – I think both the Alberta teams, Calgary and Edmonton, have something in common tonight outside of residing in the best province in Canada. I think both have an underrated matchup. Both teams are at home and also have a rest advantage due to their opponents having played last night. On top of that, both of these teams have a big step down in goaltending. Calgary should be facing Vitek Vanecek, who is a big step down from Karel Vejmelka, and Edmonton should be facing third-stringer Thomas Milic in net. He is an unimpressive prospect making his 3rd career start, and a lot of Winnipeg’s defensive issues have previously been papered over by the amazing goaltending of Connor Hellebuyck for years now.
TastefulTides: Single-entry and 3-max GPPs are my preferred format. The Oilers against a 3rd-string goalie looks like some really good chalk. If I don’t end up playing the Oilers chalk, then the Wild against the Canucks are my next favorite team. Since I like the spend-up skaters so much, this looks like a slate where I will try and find some value at goalie.
Hunter4ever89: I prefer single-entry and 3-max tournaments today. I really like the chalkier spend-up options in great matchups tonight, so I will look to get different from the field with my secondary stacks, defenseman, and goalies. EDM and TBL are at the top of my list for pay-up stacks, while I don’t mind the MIN and TOR for lower-owned expensive stacks. CGY, OTT, STL, and CAR are some spots I will be looking to for value pieces.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

About the Author
Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
