What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Moneyball16: Large-field GPPs – The Avs are clearly going to be the chalk and for good reason. If you are fading them in a lineup, I would give more consideration to Sam Montembeault as your goalie. He has large upside, and if the Avs fail, there is a good shot that Montembeault is one of the higher-scoring goalies on this slate. Another key to Colorado is that Cale Makar plays the majority of his time with Nathan MacKinnon, and they assist on a ton of each other’s shots and goals. Makar’s correlation with MacKinnon is really on a whole different level than most forwards and defensemen that share the top power-play unit.
TastefulTides: Single-entry and small-field GPPs. I am going to be rostering the Colorado chalk, but I will try and get different with my secondary stack. The Oilers are going to be without Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid for their tilt against the Kraken. I am going to get exposure to the Kraken and hope they can dominate the offensive zone time.
Hunter4ever89: I will be focusing on the small-field, single-entry, and 3-entry max tournaments. I expect Colorado to be heavily owned in these contests, but I still want to play them. I want to add Cale Makar to my Colorado stacks, and I will look to make the rest of my lineup different by using secondary stacks and goalies that are projected for lower ownership.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
