What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Moneyball16: Large-field GPPs. What makes tonight’s slate unique is the fact that there were a ton of games yesterday, and there are again a ton of games today. There are only 3 teams that did not play yesterday on the main slate. This makes for a lot of tired teams. Toronto, St Louis, and Ottawa players may be undervalued, and teams don’t do morning skate typically on back-to-backs, so it could be more chaotic than normal with news close to lock. Therefore, I will be more flexible than normal.
TastefulTides: Single-entry and smaller-field GPPs are my preferred format. I’ve never seen so many teams on a back-to-back as I’m seeing today. I would make an extra effort to head over to our NHL Discord channel pre-lock to get the latest news. Ownership should be spread out today, so play whom you like and do not be worried about being too chalky. Right now, for higher-priced teams, I will be stacking Colorado. They have the 2nd-highest implied team total and are playing on home ice. Colorado has the 6th-best power play, while the Oilers have the 29th-ranked penalty kill.
Hunter4ever89: I will be playing my usual small-field, high-stakes tournaments along with the large-field GPPs today. With most of the NHL playing yesterday, I will look to closely monitor pre-game warm ups and use any late news we get to adjust my lineups accordingly. My biggest stand of the slate will be getting over the field on Vegas players.

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
