NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings Expert Survey for Saturday, October 31
Who is your favorite skater to spend up for in cash games?
Moneyball16: Nathan MacKinnon
TastefulTides: Nathan MacKinnon
Hunter4ever89: Nathan MacKinnon
How do you plan to beat the field of opponents in the tournaments you will be playing? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Moneyball16: We have a unique 4-game slate tonight, and on the smaller slates, I look to stack goalies more with my skaters. If I don’t go that way, I will likely go with a goalie facing Colorado or Toronto in lineups that don’t feature any opposing players; this will grant me leverage over the field in the case that one of those teams bust.
TastefulTides: The most polarizing teams on the slate are Toronto and Colorado; how you decide to play them is probably your most important decision. I will take shots on Gavin McKenna, but I think I’m going to take a more bearish stance on Toronto overall. This will free up salary to more aggressively stack Colorado, who face a Flames team that played last night.
Hunter4ever89: COL and TOR are going to be highly owned (as they should be in great matchups on a 4-game slate). The easy answer to building contrarian lineups is simply not playing one of COL or TOR (or both) in large-field contests. When building COL lineups, I want to include Artturi Lehkonen in full-line stacks. He has been great playing alongside Nathan MacKinnon and usually stacks up the points as well. He gets left off stacks all too often for a player who has produced over a point per game to start the season.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

About the Author
Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
