What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
TastefulTides: Single-entry and 3-max GPPs – There are some really strong spend-up options. The Edmonton top 6 and/or top power-play unit is where I would try to be the most overweight. Don’t forget about the Bruins on the other side of this game—they’re in play as a contrarian stack as well.
boggslite: Large-field tournaments – There are many ways to attack this slate, but I will focus primarily on matchups by targeting the top power-play units of Edmonton, Minnesota, and Montreal. Calgary offers some nice value to pair with these expensive stacks, and I will look to play it safe in net with some of the higher-priced options.
Joda: Large-field tournaments are my preferred format tonight. The sources for salary relief are thin, so I find myself leaning more into full-line stacks, utilizing their cheap third wheel to save some salary. Guys like Fabian Zetterlund (OTT), Anthony Beauvillier (WSH), Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (EDM), and Matt Duchene (DAL) are some of the names on my radar to help round out stacks. I do not like any of the cheap goalies and plan to spend salary on the names up top (Jake Oettinger, Andrei Vasilevskiy, Jesper Wallstedt, and Dustin Wolf).
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
