What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
TastefulTides: Single-entry and 3-max GPPs are my preferred format. I am considering an onslaught stack of the Lightning. I really like their pricing and matchup; you can also fit their entire 1st-unit power play pretty easily. I do think the Avalanche are an interesting pivot. They have a strong team total, and their high prices should keep ownership in check.
boggslite: Large-field tournaments are my preferred format tonight. There is plenty of talent to choose from on tonight’s slate, and there is little separating the stars I want to pay up for. My strategy will be to spread my exposure around to Nikita Kucherov, Connor McDavid, and Nathan MacKinnon, rather than load up on one stud and his linemates. I will likely take advantage of the cheap value on defense to make it work and eat the chalk at goalie with whoever starts in net for Minnesota.
Joda: Large-field tournaments are my preferred format tonight. There is no shortage of salary relief on defense, which makes it possible to fit two players like Nikita Kucherov and Connor McDavid into lineups and correlate them with their even-strength partners or power-play pieces. I plan to spend down at goalie, with Filip Gustavsson being the most expensive option I would consider, as those priced above him look shaky with minimal upside.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
