What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
TastefulTides: Single-entry and smaller-field GPPs are my preferred format. There is a lot of really strong value on this slate. That is going to lead me into building with the stars and scrubs approach. Edmonton and Tampa Bay are the obvious choices, but I wouldn’t mind taking shots on Carolina in GPPs. They indeed have more of a balanced attack, making it difficult to know where the production is coming from. That being said, I think either of their top two even-strength lines or the top power-play unit are firmly in play.
Joda: Single-entry and small-field GPPs are my preferred format. I expect to have a tight core of players, mostly from Edmonton and Tampa Bay. There are plenty of attractive values (Patrik Laine, Steven Stamkos, Jonathan Marchessault, Yegor Sharangovich, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins) in the $4,000 range at wing to make it all work.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
