What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Moneyball16: Large-field GPPs – This is a unique slate lacking obviously good stacks, so I will be getting more different out there than your standard 3-3 and 3-2 stack formats. A lot of the best plays lack good correlating plays, so I am willing to get a little weird on this slate. Injury news from the early games with Shayne Gostisbehere and Auston Matthews will change a lot of things too, so be ready to pivot near lock. Also, being a slate on the smaller side, I will look to stack goalies with skaters more often.
boggslite: Single-entry tournaments are my preferred format tonight. New Jersey is my top target, facing a banged-up Leafs team that could be without their top two playmakers (Auston Matthews is a GTD, and William Nylander has already been ruled out). I’ll likely look to the Islanders or Flyers for my secondary stack, as both teams remain a relative bargain despite playing well of late and have great matchups.
Joda: Large-field GPPs are my preferred format tonight. With plenty of up-to-lock news on the injury front to digest, paying attention to warmups is essential. Chris Tanev and Dakota Joshua are out for the Leafs. Auston Matthews is a GTD, and if he is out, the Devils would see an additional boost. It would also put some other guys on the Leafs in play given their elevated roles, so I would be following warmups closely here.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
