What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Moneyball16: Large-field GPPs – The combination of the studs on the slate having bad matchups and a lot of the mid-priced stacks having full power-play correlation lead me to think that I’ll be playing a lot of mid-priced stacks. This is all despite the fact that the new DK scoring seems to push a more stars-heavy and less-correlated approach, but I don’t think that’s the play tonight.
boggslite: Large-field tournaments – With pricing tight and many of the big names drawing difficult matchups, I plan to find value in the midrange, taking a balanced approach to lineup construction. Minnesota and Utah stand out in this category, while ANA/BUF and CAR/MTL are games I plan to target to get different with my lineups. I also plan to pay up for the relative safety in net with names like Logan Thompson and/or Jordan Binnington.
Joda: Large-field tournaments are my preferred format tonight. With the usual superstars in average (at best) matchups and weaker value pieces than usual, I like taking a more balanced approach to lineups. There are a number of mid-tier stacks worth attacking. Additionally, the cheap options at goalie are lackluster, so I prefer to pay up for goalie and correlate goalie with my skaters.
