NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings Expert Survey for Tuesday, March 31

Who is your favorite skater to spend up for in cash games?

Moneyball16: Connor McDavid
boggslite: Connor McDavid
Joda: Connor McDavid

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

Moneyball16: Large-field GPPs – There is a lack of strong even-strength lines that share a spot on the same power play, so I will likely be getting more creative with my stacks than the standard 3-3 stack sizes. I will be looking at more 2-2 and 3-2 options. The Jets and Oilers should be the most popular teams, and they are indicative of this, with their top lines projected to only have 2 guys on the top power-play unit, but also the Red Wings, whom I also like.

boggslite: I’m playing single-entry GPPs tonight. Connor McDavid and the Oilers’ top power play is my top target with a great matchup at home against Seattle. The top lines of Winnipeg and Dallas are also in play for me, but I will likely look to some cheaper options from those teams for exposure rather than fading McDavid.

Joda: Large-field GPPs – I anticipate a lot of lineups being built around Connor McDavid and Winnipeg. As much as I like McDavid tonight, he likely will be the most popular play on the slate, and having no Leon Draisaitl can limit his ceiling. Winnipeg is on the road, where they are a bottom-5 team in xGF/60 at 5-on-5. One team that stands out is Dallas, as they get to take on Boston’s backup, which is a massive downgrade. Jason Robertson has been one of the best players this season, and Boston takes a ton of penalties. Detroit is another contrarian option, and they have some nice pieces like Dylan Larkin, Alex DeBrincat, and Moritz Seider.

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
