NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings Expert Survey for Tuesday, November 3
Who is your favorite skater to spend up for in cash games?
Moneyball16: Cutter Gauthier
boggslite: Cutter Gauthier
Joda: Cutter Gauthier
How do you plan to beat the field of opponents in the tournaments you will be playing? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Moneyball16: Tonight is a good reminder that whether teams are on a back-to-back or facing an opponent on a back-to-back is a sizable part of a matchup. Playing at home vs. Detroit is normally a solid matchup, but with Detroit having played last night, it is a very good matchup for Tampa tonight. Normally tough matchups at home vs. Colorado or Vegas also become OK matchups. Tonight, DraftKings has priced all these games with seemingly no regard for the schedule, so you can find a lot of value with players facing these 3 teams that played last night and are on the road tonight.
boggslite: It won’t feel great, but my initial lean is to fade the stars up top based on their matchups. I prefer teams like Anaheim and Tampa, who are in much better spots and have loaded top scoring lines that are correlated on the power play. If Anaheim and Tampa’s projected ownership gets out of hand, I will also look at Montreal, Utah, and Carolina for some lower-pOWN% options in tournaments.
Joda: I am fading Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, and Nathan MacKinnon. I like the price tags on Cutter Gauthier and Nikita Kucherov more, and they are easier to build stacks around. Columbus stands out as my favorite under-the-radar team when you consider the favorable situational spot and the reduced price tags on their top pieces. Building around those options should help differentiate.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
