NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings Expert Survey for Tuesday, October 13
Who is your favorite skater to spend up for in cash games?
Moneyball16: Connor McDavid
boggslite: Matthew Schaefer
Joda: Matthew Schaefer
How do you plan to beat the field of opponents in the tournaments you will be playing? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Moneyball16: I think the VAN/NYI game will be a key spot today. The Canucks are so bad defensively that the Islanders, who had the 7th-worst offense last season, are tied for the highest total on a massive slate. Their best players make for strong plays. But if they bust, which they could easily do, opposing goalie Leevi Merilainen could continue his hot start to the season and put up a massive score as the cheapest goalie on the slate.
boggslite: With many of the superstars priced up and drawing difficult matchups, I will look to cheaper stacks from teams with the best matchups to balance my lineup builds. The Islanders and Ducks immediately stand out in their respective matchups, and I also like the Mammoth and Sharks as interesting teams to target in potentially high-scoring games.
Joda: With Nathan MacKinnon and Connor McDavid in tougher matchups, I’m sticking to more balanced builds instead of the usual stars-and-scrubs construction. The Islanders, Penguins, Mammoth, Ducks, and Bruins all have spots where you can grab top-6 pieces and their PP1 defensemen and build the roster out from there.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
